Blurb: As a family scrambles to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, they discover that the greatest blessing of all is just being together and being alive.
Review: I’ve read Crush by this author and let me tell you, what a heartbreaking read that was. I am so glad to see Tam and Jamie again. Knowing they are doing okay makes me happy.
This is a Thanksgiving story, a glimpse into well established characters from the authors novels, Crush and Bright. Friends and family are gathering around to reflect on the past, give thanks for the present, and look ahead to the future.
We get the perspectives from all the characters in this story, and I loved that. For being such a short story, it was very informative. For those who have read both stories, it’s going to be a real treat to revisit and catch up with them. And for those who haven’t, it’ll make you want to go out and get to know these characters a little better.
As I said before, I’ve read Tam and Jamie’s story. Both unforgettable characters who deserve all the happiness they can get, I was glad to see them again.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this little snippet of these various characters.
