Blurb: A hot hook up at a celebrity wedding leaves Porter Campbell wanting a whole lot more of gorgeous Stiegen Lange. Unfortunately for Porter, Stiegen’s career as a voice over actor is skyrocketing, and a serious relationship isn’t in his plans. Their hours together in Miami were more than a booty call for Porter, but what can he do?

Stiegen finds solace in Porter’s arms when his best friend nearly dies. Then, he organizes an unforgettable weekend of passion with Porter back in Boston. His feelings deepen. Saying good-bye to Porter gets harder every time, leaving him wondering whether his career can remain the center of his universe.

Because Porter’s in it for love and won’t settle for less.

Review:  Boston Boyfriends deals with myriad issues for both MCs, both personal and professional. Being out, homophobia, and family support are just some of the issues Porter and Stiegen encounter.

I liked seeing these issues being brought up, and how the MCs reacted but, unfortunately, the relationship didn’t really make much sense to me. The main characters didn’t seem to have any chemistry, other than them jumping into bed all the time. Their lifestyles were completely different, and neither one seemed all that willing to change, or even bend, to be together until a tragedy befalls the couple’s mutual friend.

The writing was good, flowed well, and is easy to follow, and I’ll likely seek out more books by this author, but in this instance, the characters were just not likeable to me. This was a romance story with almost no romance or anything else that makes me feel all the warm fuzzies inside.
