Review: Cookies for Courting is a sweet short story. I really enjoyed some aspects of it. Alice and Pace were both darling, and I love stories where the men have children, especially when the kid isn’t some horrible monster. Alice seemed very much like a regular eight-year-old.

I loved how Amber Kell incorporated the cookbook into the story, and I loved the sweetness of the cookies being done when the kitchen ‘smelled like love’. I really want to read the other novellas in this series.

Pace and Marshall hit it off instantly, but I think the frottage in the office was a bit much. I didn’t sense the love aspect between them, and it was almost instant love. They were sexy and steamy, though. I think a few more words and the relationship would have really come through for me.
