What should have been a hot and fun night turns into Tom and Mario seeing each other at their absolute worst, although surprisingly, it brings out the best in them, too. Navigating around the toxic people in their lives isn’t easy, and after a small series of bumps in the road, they finally come around full circle… to Valentine’s Day and laying old demons to rest.
Review: Melanie Hansen’s Love and the Exorcism is super cute! I love the idea of a Valentine’s Day “ex-orcism” party. I have never been a fan of Valentine’s Day and love Anti-Valentine’s Day parties, so I thought this was awesome.
A lot of times I have trouble getting into shorter stories but, as short as this one is, I thought the author was able to give us a pretty detailed and well-rounded tale, with characters who, even in that short time, I was able to connect with.
The chemistry between Tom and Mario is hot and sweet and gave me all kinds of good feels. There is very little angst in the story, and even with the no-call, the parents, and the ex, this is a happy read. If you’re looking for a short, sweet Valentine’s Day story, this is the one for you.
