Hey out there, and thanks for having me. My newest sci fi novel, Fantasy for a Gentleman, came out on February 19th from Dreamspinner Press, and I’d love to tell you a bit about Wish.
When I decided to write a sci fi series I knew I wanted to have a completely indulgent planet. I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect there to be one at some point, after all we have Las Vegas and I wanted Wish to be very much like Vegas, only on a much larger scale.
Whatever you’re into, Wish has it. This is a terraformed planet that is kept in summer at all times, making it an ideal destination spot for anyone coming for a bit of a thrill. There are large markets where everything and anything is for sale, hot springs, water that is perfect for swimming in, and some of the best parties in the universe. Everyone flocks to Wish at least once in their lives, though most people come back regularly. And since everything is legal on Wish, there’s no shame in visiting the planet, or in enjoying everything offered there.
The biggest draw for people visiting Wish though are the companions, especially those much sought after aspasians. These are the men, and women, who have dedicated their lives to be in the service of others. It’s not quick sex they offer, though if you’re into that they can absolutely provide it. But if you want to laugh, to dance, to drink, and to party with someone, then the aspasians are what you’re looking for.
And on Wish, if you’re into men, then it doesn’t get any better, or more exclusive than Asiq, which is where Corbin works, and where Emmanuel, the bounty hunter, finds him and tries to kill him for the first time. It certainly isn’t the only time Emmanuel goes after him and he and Corbin dance around each other as they try to come up with a truce that is mutually beneficial. It takes work since these are two men who are used to getting their ways, but they are also both businessmen and Corbin desperately wants to keep living.
