Blurb: When Blake Raleigh’s favorite rentboys retire from Market Garden, they’re sure their friend Jason will be a perfect replacement. Though Tristan and Jared are a tough act to follow, Blake returns to London to test out their recommendation.
Jason is right on the money. Negotiations turn him on. Getting paid turns him on. The higher the stakes, the hotter things get. Each trip to London is more expensive than the last, and the webcam sessions don’t run cheap, but Jason is well worth the sticker shock.
The more time they spend together, the more Blake wants, and not just sex and transactions. But Jason’s been burned before by men who thought they were in love with him, and he’s not making that mistake again. When the lines between personal and professional start to blur, it’s going to take more than money, jewelry, and sports cars to keep Jason from clocking out and walking away.
Review: Although this book can certainly be read as a standalone, I think it’s probably more effective when read in sequence, or to at least have read Quid Pro Quo, Take it Off and Payoff before reading this one.
Blake Raleigh, or “Rolex” as he’s been nicknamed by Tristan and Jared (his favorite Market Garden rentboys), has returned to London on business. Tristan and Jared have recommended that he try Jason when he’s back in town since they have retired. Upon arrival, he asks the bouncer if he can point Jason out as he’s come recommended. He does and Blake approaches. Blake is immediately attracted to and intrigued by Jason and his negotiating. It seems that Jason is turned on by the game of setting the price. Blake can’t complain and is willing to pay what Jason asks. He’s in town for a week and spends the downtime he has with Jason, and loves every minute of it, so much so that he thinks about him when he’s back in the States. They decide to keep in touch via text and email, then Skype, which leads to some very interesting and costly calls. :)
On his next trip to London, they meet up again, and the stakes get ever higher. But at the end of his trip, Blake really wishes he could see more of Jason and invites him back to the States (no strings), but promises to let Jason drive his Lamborghini and show him NYC. Of course Jason is intrigued. While the trip doesn’t go exactly as planned, both have a good time. When Jason leaves, it’s bittersweet and Blake can’t figure out why he feels so empty.
No spoilers, but this story doesn’t exactly go the way you think it might. But that’s okay because it turns out for the best with a very satisfactory resolution. And there is an added bonus of getting to see Tristan and Jared again.
Both L.A. Witt and Aleksandr Voinov are favorites of mine, and this series continues to intrigue and entertain. Highly recommended for lovers of erotic and sensual romance.
