Celebrating Our Differences Through Writing
I know most of you reading this right now love diversity in your books. You read M/M romance and LGBT+ related stories for a reason, after all. I am the same exact way. I love reading about people in general, regardless of how they look or how they love. I think it’s safe to say we all want to celebrate love in all its different forms and that, at its core, is the reason why we read M/M romance. However, it’s not the diversity of the characters in our books that I’m talking about, but the differences of the authors who write them that we would like to celebrate. The Way Life Turns is our way to do that.
Just to clarify, we don’t care how an author looks. I don’t know about you, but I don’t read books because authors look a certain way or identifies themselves with a particular label. My only concerned is how well they tell a story. Every author tells a story differently, even if the characters and concept are the same.
How boring would it be if we all wrote the exact same way? We’d all read one book and that’s it. Amazon would go out of business. Or rather, they’d sell me the coffee I always buy instead of the books too. Barnes & Noble wouldn’t even exist. No libraries or eBook readers. Do you see the bleak world I’m painting here?
Authors’ differences are important to us all and often not celebrated enough. The Way Life Turns conception is simply a way to bring these differences to light.

Blurb: What happens when two men are in very different places in their relationship?
Almost from the start of their relationship, Jonah was in love with Scott. Scott doesn’t share that same sentiment. Jonah finds out exact how Scott feels about him the hard way, when he sees Scott in a compromising position with someone else. How they react becomes the challenge two authors have set out to solve. Will there be forgiveness or misery as Jonah reacts to what Scott has done?

Wonderful post. It is all about the story. I won’t go out of my way to look up an author just to see if they had a bio picture up or anything. I might look them up for their backlist titles though.
