When increasingly disturbing letters show up at his agency, threatening horrible things against the man he loves, Harry vows to protect Adrien at all costs.

Adrien and Harry are on the verge of revealing their true feelings to each other when danger strikes. Maybe they can share a lasting love…if Adrien’s stalker doesn’t get to him first.

Review: Star Power was a fun and engaging read from start to finish. We are immersed immediately into a dynamic between two men who have a lot of spunk. Their personalities come off the page quickly, and they appear to be entirely opposite. Adrien, an actor who has had a slump in his career, is dramatic and fiery; whereas Harrison, Adrien’s agent, is the model of calm and control.

These initial impressions are quickly put to the test as the author presents their inner thinking and feelings through alternating points of view. We soon learn that both men have longed for each other for the duration of their lengthy collaboration as actor/agent. We also learn at the end of the first chapter that Adrien is the victim of a disturbing stalker who leaves letters making grotesque threats.

One night out breaks down the walls each man has built around themselves and the pure nature of their relationship blasts through. Once they admit their feelings, the sparks fly and the heat index increases.

The characters and plotline made for a satisfying read, although there were a few elements I wish had been further developed. First, the shift from keeping their feelings secret to admissions of their love happened a bit abruptly. I did appreciate the build up to the love, but wondered if, after so many years of holding back the truth, they would blurt out their true feelings so quickly. The story then took an interesting twist when a stranger approached Adrien in an overtly aggressive and sexual way, leading both Adrien and Harrison to believe he was the stalker. The same man continues to behave strangely, but then a new twist is thrown in that I was unprepared for as a reader. Perhaps if the author had included several possible stalker candidates—including the one who ended up being the true stalker—I would have been biting my nails a bit more.

All this said, Ms. Knight did a wonderful job of establishing characters, a setting, and a conflict which had me wanting to read on to find out how these hotties would find their happily ever after.
