Characters Who Love Snow

Being a lover of winter myself, I know that this isn’t the norm. Most people are less than fond of winter with it’s cold and bitter winds, it’s shorter days, and its snow. Even people who love winter sports often would prefer to be able to jump from wherever they are enjoying those sports to somewhere that’s more summerlike immediately after.

Many of my characters reflect this lack of joy for winter, so when a pair come along who love winter and the cold and the snow, I get to revel in them, which is what I did with Henry and Ecco. These two guys love the snow sports, they love the way the snow paints their surroundings, and they love the indoor activities that one can indulge in during winter.

There’s nothing like coming in from the cold and being able to snuggle up together in front of a fire with mugs of hot chocolate and indulge in whatever snuggling and warming up together leads to. Henry and Ecco are very good at that, too. I had a great time writing them and being able to really share my love of winter and all it entails.
