Blurb: Artist Arik Bosler is terrified he might have lost his creative gift in the accident that left his hand badly burned. When he’s offered the chance to work with renowned artist Ken Brighton after winning a contest, Arik fears his injury will be too much to overcome.

He reluctantly travels to Pleasanton to meet Ken, where he runs into the intimidating Reg Thompson. Reg, a biker who customizes motorcycles, is a big man with a heart of gold who was rejected by most of his family. Arik is initially afraid of Reg because of his size, however it’s his heart that warms Arik’s interest and gets him to look past the exterior to let down his guard.

But Arik soon realizes that certain members of Reg’s motorcycle club are into things he can’t have any part of. Reg can’t understand why Arik disappears until he learns Arik’s injury was the result of his father’s drug activity. Though neither Reg nor Arik wants anything to do with drugs, the new leadership of Reg’s club might have other ideas.

Review: Andrew Grey is my go-to author when I need a sweet, emotional read that leaves me with a warm and heartfelt happily-ever-after. The Senses series was one of the first I read that dealt with disabled characters, and I wasn’t disappointed. The excellent thing about the series is that the disabled characters in the series aren’t one dimensional. The disability doesn’t rule their life, even if it does complicate it.

Andrew Grey’s characters are strong when they need to be and a wreck when it is proper. There is a sense of realism blended with the sweetness and happily-ever-afters, and in this conclusion, Grey does not disappoint or end the series on a low note. He delivers Reg and Arik a happy-ever-after on par with the rest of the series, and I loved revisiting with all the characters from the previous five books. I was a bit hesitant to read about the motorcycle club aspect, but none of the overt drama was present. Just a small scary truth mixed with the actuality of a motorcycle club appears here. I loved Slasher and little Bettie Jo as well as Arik and Reg, and was thrilled with the involvement of the series’ couples in the story.

Reg and Arik mesh well with Ken and Patrick and all the regulars from the -verse. I was kinda heartbroken to find out that this was the last one, but it was like a sweet farewell from Mr. Grey and Pleasanton. I will miss the charming community of Pleasanton and a special thank you to Mr. Grey for sharing the vision of this town with us all.
