“Goddamn. I slept hard.” Tyler blinked and grinned at him when he came out, jeans half on. “My turn.”

“Go for it. I’ll get coffee on.” Look at that man. He was relaxed and happy as a pig in shit. It was a good look.

“Thanks.” Tyler did his business and wandered back, hair slicked back, water still on his face, surprisingly awake and alert for that fucking time of the day.

“You get up early to work out or something?” The coffee perked away in his little four cup pot, and Dooley hunted bread and eggs.

“Depends. Lots of time, you have to be in makeup by four. I’m not working today, but I know about early mornings. What can I do to help?”

“No shit? That’s fucking early.” Man, he’d hate all that fussing. He’d done a TV interview once, just with a local station, but that little makeup girl had insisted on covering up his black eye. “You could get them little sausage patties out of the freezer.”

“Cool, and yeah, but it’s the job, you know?” That tight little ass looked amazing in those jeans.

“Uh-huh.” Goddamn. How was he supposed to cook eggs when he had a view like that? He’d burn the trailer down.

Tyler looked back at him, eyes twinkling. “You have to work this morning?”

“I need to check the schedule. I mean, I have to feed and shit no matter what.”

“Yeah. I bet the horses look forward to you coming out in the morning.” Tyler nodded, got the sausage out. “You want one piece or two?”

“Two, if you don’t mind. They heat up fast.” He got the eggs cracked into a bowl, his middle of nowhere upbringing making him cautious about just tossing them in the pan. “Fried or scrambled?”

“Whatever, man. I’m easy.” Lord, if all Hollywood types are this way, they’d be able to pay him less for the work.

“Cool.” He grinned over, just getting the stove going and whipping up the eggs with a fork. He was better at scrambled.

“Thanks for breakfast. Hell, thanks for letting me crash. I slept good.”

“You look better rested, for sure.” Fuck knew, he probably did too. And well-fucked to boot.

“Yeah.” Tyler made a couple of pieces of toast, working with him nice and easy.

They had an early morning feast, and damn, Dooley figured it was nice to have someone to jaw with over coffee. Tyler ate hearty and was surprisingly funny, even in the morning. The dishes were in the sink and the last of the coffee gone when Dooley stood and stretched, checking his little calendar on the fridge. “I don’t have any shoots today, so I guess all I got to do is feed and muck.”

“Yeah?” Tyler stood, twisting at the waist. “I guess you want me out of your hair, huh?”

“Not if you got nowhere to be.” He almost bit his tongue, ’cause Lord knew, he didn’t want to sound desperate or nothin’. But he liked the man’s company.

“Yeah. My schedule’s free ’til Monday. Thank God.”

“Cool. Well, come on, then.” They could kick a little shit around, maybe bullshit some too. Dooley actually liked the man.

“Right behind you.” Look at those pretty eyes shine. Man, he was fucked.
