Lisa: We’re so pleased to welcome Deanna Wadsworth today, author of Too Good to Be True, a 1NightStand Story.

Hi, Deanna. Let’s start with a question to you as a reader rather than an author. Do you buy a book because of the cover, the blurb, or something else?

Deanna: Sometimes I buy a book based on the cover, but usually it’s based on a combo of factors. Usually the cover, the author and the blurb. Sometimes even the publisher. Because I know so many authors, I often buy their books just to see how they write

Lisa: What does the word romance mean to you?

Deanna: Romance in life or in my books? LOL. The two are very different in my mind. In a book I want epic love, fantastic sex, adventure, tears, etc. In real life I can do without the tears, and the fantastic sex actually takes work (ask anyone in a 20+ year relationship). But in real life, the day to day stuff, like a random “I love you” text from my hubby…well, that can feel pretty epic.

Lisa: What would you say is the most difficult part of writing for you?

Deanna: Promoting. It’s hard to write, edit, take care of my home, work another job, be on the board for RainbowRomanceWriters.com AND find time to properly promote my books.

Lisa: Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

Deanna: I LOOOVE Jeopardy and I have since I was a teenager. LOL. You know that trivia game show with Alex Trebek that comes on after Wheel of Fortune that all the old fogies love? Yeah, well, I never miss an episode of either, if I can help it.

Lisa: What are currently working on?

Deanna: My current project is SUPPOSED to be a contemporary romance, but I’ve been so busy doing yard work and getting my ever expanding vegetable garden in, I haven’t done much writing…boo!

Deanna Wadsworth might be a bestselling erotica author, but she leads a pretty vanilla life in Ohio with her wonderful husband and a couple adorable cocker spaniels.
