There are many parts to a story that makes up all the components. I enjoy each and every piece that comes together to create the whole. When I put the layers together it takes a building of parts to make them meld to create something awesome. In my opinion one of the most important things are emotions. No matter which one it is—good, bad or in between. All these parts need to be weaved within the story. It is a very important layer that makes books work. If there aren’t emotions in the story then it’s flat and it’ll leave you unfulfilled. To me the emotions is what makes the difference between a book I read once to one that I go back to often or recall at random moments then I have to go read it again. Emotions are what make me find new things in a book that I may have read hundreds of times before.
These emotions are driven by the frame of mind I’m in. And reading a book according to my frame of mind can make different emotional cords strike me. Striking an emotional cord within brings a lot of things to life as I read. They make the characters live and breathe. This makes them real for me that I want to know their story. I want to take the journey with them. When I write a book or read one by other authors I want to get each and every moment of feeling it.
