Welcome, Lane!

Thank you for having me today to talk about my newest release, A Kind of Honesty. This story belongs to Tim and Carter, the rock and roll drummer and the finance consultant. Yes, it’s an opposites attract story, but these two really aren’t all that different once they get to know each other. A Kind of Honesty is an exploration of self, touching on the childhood and young adult mishaps that shape one’s ability to trust and at times to be completely honest. If Tim can conquer old demons, he may find the reward is well worthwhile.

This is book three in my A Kind of Stories series. All of my books are standalones, however, and can be read in any order. :)

On to a few author interview questions…

What is your favorite motivational phrase?

Just Do It! Nike’s slogan is pure genius. Anyone can talk about getting things done, but action is what counts.

What is your favorite positive saying?

“All you can do is try”. This is my own mantra. When any task seems too difficult and results aren’t guaranteed, this saying runs through my head. You never know what may come. All you can do is try. :)

What is your favorite book and why?

This is an almost impossible question to answer! LOL. I have so many! I’m going to say Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It’s a beautifully written romance with a strong characters who don’t back down or shy away from their convictions. The language, the setting…it’s literary perfection!

What is your favorite film and why?

Truthfully, I don’t watch a lot of films and the ones I love the most are generally older. I’m a huge Alfred Hitchcock fan. I loved North by Northwest and Rear Window. And pretty much any film classic with Cary Grant. J

*By the way, the last movie I saw in the theater was Magic Mike. The first one. LOL. I’m only slightly embarrassed to admit it because the eye candy was well worth the price of that ticket!

Lane Hayes is grateful to finally be doing what she loves best. Writing full-time! It’s no secret Lane loves a good romance novel. An avid reader from an early age, she has always been drawn to well-told love story with beautifully written characters. These days she prefers the leading roles to both be men.
