Happy Anniversary, Novel Approach! Thanks for all you do :)

December is also the second anniversary of the publication of my first novel, Hitting Black Ice with Loose Id (I’m giving away a copy of Hitting Black Ice, the first in the Heart and Haven series). There can’t be anything more thrilling for a new author than reading those first reviews and realizing complete strangers “get” you and the story you’re trying to tell. Because readers seemed to want to know more about my two damaged heroes, I sent them to a Caribbean island to get away from all their troubles in Send Lawyers, Guns, and Roses.

Before they pack up the suntan lotion and Speedos, they are visited (haunted?) by their old nemesis Nick Truman, the corrupt FBI agent who chased one of them across the country. Nick tells them his story, the truth this time.

Readers asked for Nick’s story, and I hope I did his voice justice. The manuscript is still in the submission process and my editor says she loves it, so we’ll see what happens. The title is His Dark Reflection.

This coming February, I have a historical release through Manifold Press, which I am very excited about. It’s a murder mystery wrapped up in romantic suspense set in the world of Medici Florence’s artist workshops titled Ardent. The cover is GORGEOUS.

I’m working on a project for Dreamspinner Press and the multiauthor series The Order of the Black Knights. My Knight is William.

I’d love to have two more novels completed and submitted by the spring—a contemporary paranormal and another historical murder mystery. Family issues have slowed me down in the past few years, but I hope they are going to settle down now. I’m also not the fastest author, that’s for sure.
