Blurb: Vaughn Richardson enjoys living and working as a ranch hand in rural Montana. Among the unofficial perks of the job is the fact that the handsome young man finds himself surrounded by other virile men. Vaughn enjoys casual sexual encounters with a number of these men. But his deeper, even more urgent desires seem to be stirred whenever the sex gets a bit rough, or when it incorporates any hint of bondage and discipline or dominant-and-submissive roleplaying. Vaughn has to learn how to overcome his lingering shame about his needs, and embrace them fully. With the help of a number of sex partners, he does so.
Review: Well, it’s full of sex. Kinky sex, straight sex, oral sex, ménage sex, orgy sex, and yeah…. Sex. There may have been a very few conjunction words used to string together the sex scenes. I remember one or two. Did I mention this book is all about the sex?
Vaughn Richardson is a ranch hand in rural Montana. And those conjunction words I mentioned are what tell the story of Vaughn’s sexual awakening. As a young man, he gets himself into a bad situation on a ranch where he lives and works. The story begins with Vaughn on his way to an orgy after escaping said bad ranch and the foreman/other ranch hands who work there. It’s a journey of discovery for Vaughn into the kind of sex he likes and the kind of men he likes to have it with. The story unfolds from there. With each new intimate encounter Vaughn has, he learns a little about himself and, ultimately, he commits to one man and a future they could have together. I will say that Graeme doesn’t try and sugarcoat this book; it is billed as an erotic romance and it is. Everyone is above board with the multiple partner situations; there is no cheating, no angst. With all the sex Vaughn has, he stays completely honest with himself and his partners. It can be a gritty look at the sexual awakening of a young man who likes it rough, often, and controlled.
This book fills the bill for those looking for a lot of sex in their stories. It also fills the bill for those who every now and then need an erotic romance, when it really doesn’t matter what the story is. Get my drift?! The sex is well written, the MC is interesting—being inside Vaughn’s head is an intriguing place to be. If you are looking for “one of those kind” of books, then get this one. There are lots of happy endings.
