Review: I’m so happy this series is a thing (and that there’s one more to come)! Ten years have passed since the events in The Virgin Manny, and Amy Lane is giving Taylor Cochran a chance to redeem himself after his selfish teenage boy actions back then. A lot has changed, but a lot is still the same. Taylor’s done some hard growing and learning; Nica’s little family unit has done its own growing (and growing). The love, laughs, and general craziness that typified the Robbins family is alive and well in their offspring in Manny Get Your Guy.
Also, can we all just pause a moment to laugh about this title, because—*snort*.
Brandon is a new character in this book, but he fits right into the big-hearted group of familiar characters. He’s the perfect counterpart for Taylor. Taylor just needs to be convinced of that, and the whole relationship dance the two do as they circle into each other is lovely, touching, and ultimately satisfying. The whole book really is focused on these two getting together against the backdrop of their crazy, beautiful, messy, perfectly imperfect family.

Manny Get Your Guy gives that lightheartedness the typical Amy Lane treatment, meaning there’s angst, but it’s all off page and mostly on its way to resolved. We’re just privileged to watch the dangling happiness threads get tied up into a satisfying bow. It’s wonderfully sweet, and a perfect summer read. So, grab a towel (or a hammock!), pull up some sand and sunscreen, and while away an afternoon with these guys.
