Welcome to author DJ Jamison and the My Anti-Boyfriend virtual blog tour. We’ve got an excerpt from the book to share with you, and there’s also a giveaway so be sure to check out the details on how to enter.

Welcome, DJ!

Exploring Sexuality from Different Angles

Every now and then, I like to sit down and create something fun and fluffy, and that’s where My Anti-Boyfriend fits in. I actually wrote it as a fun diversion to combat writer’s block. It follows up My Anti-Valentine, the first in my series of short novellas that explore sexuality from different angles.

My Anti-Valentine tells the story of a graysexual character and how he came to find love despite his tarnished view of romance, while My Anti-Boyfriend revolves around two casual, fun-loving guys who don’t take sex too seriously but avoid romance like it’s a communicable disease.

If you like a lot of angst and deep tortured pasts, My Anti-Boyfriend isn’t for you. This is meant to be a fun, sexy read about two casual fuck buddies who accidentally fall in love. I say accidentally, because neither of these boys is looking for a relationship. They’ve given up on sentimental ideas like monogamy or commitment.

Brad and Riley are best friends, wingmen and occasional fuck buddies. But that’s all. Or so they like to believe anyway. They’re about to test the bounds of their friendship.

About the Book

Brad has everyone fooled. He’s the casual, sexy friend. The fun-time guy who sleeps around. Except not really. There’s one man who holds his heart: his best friend — with benefits — Riley. Too bad Riley has no interest in a relationship, and as far as Brad can tell, never will. But once Brad acknowledges his feelings for Riley, he can’t continue to ignore them. He pulls back, trying to find a way to shut down his hurting heart so he can remain Riley’s friend.

Riley has everything he needs: a decent job, plenty of hookups, and his wingman Brad, who also makes for great fun in the sack. He’s happily oblivious, until Brad starts avoiding him. Riley is baffled when Brad starts skipping regular nights at the gay club, fails to return calls and otherwise ignores him. He can’t imagine what he’s done wrong, and when he finally corners Brad and learns the truth, he’s scared to death one more person is going to abandon him. He misses Brad like crazy — both the friend and the lover — but he’s never even considered a relationship.

Now Brad and Riley have a choice to make: friends or lovers. Riley’s days of having his cake and eating it too are over. Then again, maybe Brad is tasty enough to keep a man satisfied.

The Excerpt

Brad stormed onto the dance floor, ready to burn away his sudden onset of melancholy. A good adrenaline rush and an erection rubbing against his ass would take care of him in short order. After all, why should he care that Riley was sexing up his next conquest on the dance floor? That’s what he did. That’s what they both did.

They agreed years ago that hearts and flowers were not for them. They were friends, wingmen and occasional fuck buddies.

But that was all.

Riley was a catch. Of course. Brad didn’t fuck just anybody. Riley was gorgeous, with dark hair that was always falling into his eyes as if he were six years old and dimples that could melt your underwear when they were flashed with precision. He didn’t have much of an exercise routine, but he’d built up muscle from his job on a construction crew and the man knew how to dance to devastating effect. Then there was his style. He was practically Brad’s opposite. Brad knew he came across a bit femme, and he figured you might as well work what you got, right? But Riley dressed in jeans and boots and military jackets. He wore tanks that he shed halfway through the night, and it brought all the fucking boys to his yard.

Boys like Mr. Blondie humping his leg.

Fuck it. Just dance.
