Blurb: Dominick has recovered from his injuries but is still on suspension from the force. This hasn’t deterred him from wanting to solve the Regis murders. Some information from his sister prompts Dominick and Rob to take a weekend trip to Boston. What they don’t know is that the killer is watching.
Review: Rob and Dominick are still trying to adjust to married life, but with Dominick on suspension, they get to take some time away to Boston—not only for the time away, though. Sophie has clued Dominick in to a similar murder in Boston that ties into the Regis family murder, and Rob is along to help do a little investigating on their own. But their investigation and alone-time get an unexpected interruption when Dominick is called back into duty.
Dominick and his partner, Betty, are on the job again because the mayor’s daughter has been kidnapped, and the kidnapper has put his demands in writing—asking specifically that Dominick and Betty be put on this case. Dominick is again baffled when the name ‘Nicky’ appears. And just as more twisted clues come into play, mobster Frank Cortez wins his appeal and is released from Riker’s. When all is said and done, Dominick is too late, and his heart is just shredded. With this baffling murder case, he is looking to sell his most prized possession, and Rob finds himself wrapped up in a new admittee to Martindale—Logan Washington.
With all this chaos, Dominick is slipping, and two co-workers could destroy what he has with Rob. Thank goodness for Betty Kendal; she’s more than Dominick’s partner, she’s his savior.
Suede Delray just blew me away with this third installment of the Patterns series. I didn’t think it could get any more exciting and suspenseful, but it did. This is like a mini-series that’s packed full of danger, murders—both past and present—mystery and drama. Patterns Revealed is a page-turner, fast paced and a roller coaster ride of emotion. I hope Dominick doesn’t screw up. The chemistry with him and Rob heats up with each installment. Then there’s that dastardly bastard Frank Cortez; his connections are so deep that you never know what he’s going to do next. I’m so ready for Patterns Uncharted.
