Blurb: Book One: A scandalous, ex-porn star demon and a morally shady, billionaire vampire walk into a bar…
But this is no joke. It’s opening day at the SOS Hotel, and that lust demon? He’s my business partner. I know. What was I thinking? The sexy, suave vampire, however? He’s something else…
Creating a sanctuary for the supernaturals left here when the tear in the veil sealed was always going to be difficult, but it’s all I have, and I’m going to make it work. Despite the murders, the missing humans, and the psychotic real estate mogul who wants to bulldoze the hotel…
The SOS Hotel must thrive, whatever the cost. Because if it fails, I’ll lose everything. Including my life.
My name is Adam. I’m just the boring human who works here, and I absolutely, definitely do not have any secrets.
Welcome to the SOS Hotel. What can possibly go wrong?

Review: I’ve read a lot of books written in the first person. The SOS Hotel series is the first one I’ve read, however, in which the main character is also credited as the author. Ariana Nash, writing as Adam Vex, made a rather clever move here, because who better than Adam himself to tell his own secrets?
Secrets, did I say secrets? I meant to say story. His story is that he’s a totally normal human, and he’s sticking to it. Sort of.
Adam and the uncommonly charming incubus Zodiac have gone into business together. They’ve opened a hotel/safe haven for the Lost Ones, aka those fantastical beings who became stranded in a futuristic San Francisco when the veil between worlds closed. When the multi-billionaire vampire Lord Victor Reynard shows up on the hotel steps seeking shelter under its rather rotting and noisy roof (those gremlins are a problem), the stage is set for a little danger, an abundance of giggles, and whole lot of lust.
Nash takes readers along on a journey whose destination is, what the devil is Adam Vex? And why are so many Lost Ones helping to see to his ultimate demise? Along the way, readers are treated to so much fun, especially where Adam, Zodiac, and Reynard are concerned. Adam isn’t torn between two lovers. He knows exactly where he wants to be: between two lovers. The conundrum is, what are Zee and Reynard supposed to do? Demons and vampires are mortal enemies. Except, hey, they’re hot for each other, even though they’d both rather drink poison than admit it.
Speaking of which, the hotel’s AI bartender, Tom Collins, is an expert in poison beverages and has no moral or ethical qualms about using them. Tom is an absolute gem.
Adam has one enemy in particular who is committed to the bit: i.e. exposing Adam for who (what?) he truly is. Oh, and plundering the SOS Hotel and the land it sits on. Yes, all of this for a land grab, and what a joy it is to watch it all unfold.
I devoured these books, no other word for it. I was charmed, start to finish, by the characters and the world Ariana Nash has built. Adam is the absolute definition of a cinnamon roll, and Zee and Reynard didn’t stand a chance against his sweet, kind, and compassionate heart.
And, phew, thank goodness that murder pixie was on their side.
