Blurb: Closed for gremlin extermination…

Review: I am the smittenest kitten for this series, and the reasons all revolve around Adam Vex—the character, that is, not the author (no offense). Adam is such a dear, a complete softy, a normal everyday hotel manager for Lost Ones who were stranded on this side of the veil when it closed, an average, ordinary, harmless human.
Until you threaten him and those he cares about.
Adam Vex (the author aka Ariana Nash) is doling out this story at just the right pace. It’s engaging, it’s page-turning fun, and most of all it’s charming as heck. Adam (the character), along with his demon lover Zee and the vampire Victor Reynard, who completes their trio of electric chemistry, are not only learning how far they’re willing to go to protect each other, but Adam is learning a little something about trust and what it means to leave himself vulnerable for the sake of love.
One of the major threads running through the series has taken a fantastic turn in No Rest for the Wicked that I didn’t see coming, definitely not the way it played out, but in doing so has opened up another fresh can of worms that brings the guys one step closer to their most dangerous adversary. And furthermore, it drags Adam closer to a destiny he is desperate to avoid. But with great power comes great responsibility? Or maybe it just means Adam is going to control his own dang prophecy from now on.
The excellent banter, the absurdly charming nuances of the world the author has crafted, and the vast array of familiar and fantastical characters help direct the story. Closing down the hotel isn’t an option—not even with an infestation of gremlins. And what’s a little blood, guts, and mischief among the imminent threat of the vampire queen crossing the veil and subjugating their world? There are Lost Ones to save, after all, and Adam makes it look so good.
