Review: I have a confession to make; I’m a huge Tere Michaels Fan! I’d read Faith & Fidelity, as well as all the other books in the series, a couple of years ago, and it’s been at the top of my favorites list ever since! I’ve re-read it a number of times, so when I saw that it was expanded and re-edited and that I could have it for review, I went nuts! I could not believe that one of my favorite books was going to be even better. And I was not disappointed at all!

The story opens up at the funeral of Evan Cerelli’s wife, but Evan’s mind is on the last night they were together. Evan’s life was pretty simple; he married his high school sweetheart, had 4 kids, loves his job as a detective, and there are no big questions or upheavals in his life. Until one tragic day when his life is turned upside down. Evan somehow gets through it, but he’s not the man he used to be. He’s surviving but not living.

Matt Haight is the total opposite of Evan. He’s a lady’s man who cant hold down a relationship. His law enforcement career came to a halt after he exposed a dirty cop. He has no family and no one to care about. He’s also surviving and not living. He’s not happy with his job, and he’s lonely.

They both find each other at a party, and a tentative friendship is born. Both men find a kinship in each other. They drink, talk and ease each others burdens. But straight Matt starts to have not-so-straight dreams about Evan. So what happens when everything you’ve known about yourself comes into question? This is what happens to Matt and Evan. Both straight guys start to develop feelings for each other, and act on them because the heart wants what the heart wants. They are not complicated characters, just find themselves in a complicated situation.

Everything in this book was total perfection, from the guys initial meeting to consummating their relationship, which was amazing; from Evan’s magazine cover model partner with a sarcastic personality, to Matt’s one night stand. And let’s not forget Evan’s kids and how they seamlessly took Matt into their hearts like he belonged there from the start. I’m usually not a huge fan of too much kid action in a book, but these kids stole my heart, and I absolutely loved them.

Faith & Fidelity is a must read for anyone who loves to see two hot cops find each other, find love and find their happily ever after. A heartwarming story of love and life!
