Blurb: As a physician and prominent citizen of Victoria, Texas, Dr. Gil Kelly took a hard fall when his vengeful wife revealed his infidelity with other men. Closing ranks around her, the town’s elite ostracized him, and his relationship with his children was nearly destroyed.

After spending his life focused on living for others, he has no idea how to live for himself. He wants to find love but now settles for anonymous sex that only further clouds his world with shame and guilt. Gil believes finding true love is an unobtainable dream, what his father used to call “chasing the sun.”

Then he runs into Tom Martinez, his son’s childhood best friend, who returned to town a grown man and offers everything Gil needs. But Gil hesitates to fall into Tom’s arms, because after his high-profile divorce, the potential scandal of loving a younger man could separate him from his children permanently.

Review: I recently submitted a review for the first audio book in the Provincetown series, When Love Takes Over, also narrated by TJ Jamesin.

I thought I would be disappointed, as this audio is much shorter than the first one in the series, but after finishing it, I really feel it was just right. This book acts as a bridge filling in the gaps, while telling us a story about Zach’s Dad, Gill. A lot of When Love Takes Over talks about Provincetown and what makes it special. In this book, we learn more about where Zach came from and why he holds such resentment toward his father. But, what made this a great listen for me was that we learned about this father/son relationship through the heart and eyes of the father.

Tom/Tommy, Zach’s boyhood friend , has a very difficult road to travel in this story. He wants to remain loyal to Zach , but he also is very much in love with Gill. He helps to bring reason to the whole dysfunctional mess called the Kelly Family and in the end, helps them mend—while having hot steamy sex with Gill. And let me tell you, there is nothing like having really hot sex read to you by TJ Jameson. That alone is worth the price of the audio book!

Jacob Flores writes using all the senses: the visual. ::hoping that “visiting guy’s ass” was like Steve McQueen’s and not like Steve Buscemi’s:: I have to admit I had to try and find pictures of both: Steve McQueen’s, which wasn’t hard to find, and Steve Buscemi’s , which was hard to find. Look up their images and you will know why. And let’s not leave out the descriptions of Tom: “hair black as the night, caramel-colored eyes, dark hair dusted his forearms and a sculpted ass,” and that’s just naming a few of Tom’s attributes. Hmmmmmm…. Our sense of smell: “A hint of amber and patchouli lingered in the air between them. The musky, earthen scent caused Gil’s cock to jump in his pants.” (After hearing that part, I had to remember to breathe again) The sense of taste: “Tom tasted like sweet butter.” His entire salty tool down his throat (Sweet and Salty, the best kind of snack. Oh I can’t believe I just wrote that.) The sense of touch: “…spongy hardness, raging-hard, steel, thick and long and, rock-hard.” I know I didn’t pick out all the descriptive words for describing Tom’s cock, but I think you get the idea. And finally, the sense of hearing: listening to the audio book, TJ Jameson does a fantastic job. He wraps us around his voice.

This audio is shorter, as I’d said, but that does not take away from the pleasure of listening to it. If you want all your senses treated to a great book, When Love Takes Over will do just that. You can listen to it as a standalone, but why do that? All three books are now in audio, When Love Gets Hairy was just released according to Jacob Z. Flores Facebook post. And, to quote Jacob, “Woohoo!”
