Review: What a great love story! Cardeno C. just does it for me.  Each of the books in this collection are unique yet tell a story about coming together to form a more perfect union.  Roll your eyes, I get it.  But what is a perfect union? My definition is two or more people who come together and protect each other, love each other through sickness and in health, happiness and sadness, and trust each other no matter what comes their way. And there is pleasure in knowing that in any book I read by this author, I will get my happily-ever-after.  There’s comfort in that.

He Completes Me gives us just what Cardeno C. promises: a love story with a happy ending.  Zach is quite a character, showing up at his mother’s funeral in a skin-tight pink tank top and white pants, trying to tell the relatives he just doesn’t give a damn what they think. But what we learn about Zack as the story unfolds is that he does give a damn and uses anonymous sex, clothes, and a snarky attitude as armor to protect himself from being hurt yet again.

Aaron Paulson is Zach’s complete opposite. Or so it seems. His defense is to take care of people at the expense of himself. Zach points out many times that Aaron is taken advantage of way too often, especially by Zach own brother, Dean, and sister in law, Kimberly. Aaron is also blessed with patience, and to get Zach to admit his love for Aaron, it takes a lot of patience. It also takes a lot of trust on Aaron’s part to wait for Zach to come to his senses (that’s my opinion).

The audiobook is fantastic. The narrator, Alexander Collins, just has the sexiest voice. It sounds like smooth butter and sweet cream, and he does a great job of capturing the personalities of both Aaron and Zach. The added surprise for me was the additional chapter that was added on the end. Thank you, Cardeno C. and Alexander Collins. You make this reader/listener a very happy person.
