“The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost.” – Gilbert K. Chesterton
Oh, it is always a treat to revisit one of your favorite couples in a series and Sebastian and Brad have to be one of my favorite couples in the M/M genre. In Frat Boy and Toppy, Brad and Sebastian overcame many obstacles to earn their HEA and I couldn’t wait to see how they are doing with it. We got a glimpse of them in Sweet Young Thang and it didn’t seem like all was well.
When we meet up with the boys again it seems Sebastian has been focusing more on his thesis than on his man. Brad is still taking care of Sebastian and he still loves him, but he isn’t feeling secure in his relationship and he isn’t sure if Sebastian still needs him like he used to.
Sebastian is focusing on his thesis and he appreciates how Brad takes care of him, but inviting Collin to stay at their place for the night just rubs him the wrong way. Sebastian loses his cool and we not only see Brad stand up for himself, but we see both men starting to doubt what is so clearly a great relationship. Sebastian has become very self-centered and he doesn’t realize it until the reality that Brad could leave him makes him take stock of his actions, or lack thereof. He realizes he has to make it right and he has to do it soon.
Brad finally tells Sebastian what he needs from him and Sebastian finally listens to him. I love that the two men are building on the D/s dynamic that was so hot in the beginning of their story. Brad has realized that he is submissive and he needs Sebastian to be in control so he knows he is loved and wanted. Sebastian also realizes that he needs Brad to need him. Sebastian has never really felt needed before, and he likes it A LOT.
This was a short story, but it was just as long as it needed to be. We get to see these two work through their issues and the ending was just about as perfect as you could hope for. I love how once they verbalized their needs to one another it seemed their relationship grew even more. If you love the TAG stories as much as I do, you won’t want to miss this installment. So head on over to Riptide and get your copy, it will definitely be worth your while.
I can’t wait to read this. I love these guys!
I loved Brad and Sebastian also. It was great seeing them again.
