REVIEW: Alan Weissman writes for the Financial Times and he doesn’t understand why he has been assigned to write a fluff piece on Michael Stafford. His opinion of venture capitalists is not a good one and he doesn’t want to have to sit down with this heartless businessman but he has a job to do. When he does sit down with Michael, he finds out this man isn’t the run-of-the-mill shark that he thought he was.
The two men start dating and everything is going well until a misunderstanding puts their relationship at risk. They will have to decide if they can work things out or if they were never meant to be.
I really liked this story, but I felt kind of cheated by the rushed ending. One minute there was all this drama just getting ready to explode and then POOF, all fixed! It was one of those situations where the author narrated the story instead of letting us read it and watch it unfold, so had the ending followed the rest of the book’s pace, it would have been a 5 star read all the way. I will definitely give this author another read in the future.
