Review: If you’ve read the outstanding Stung, you already know that a happy ending for Victor and Crunch wouldn’t, or couldn’t, include anything quite so simple as the two of them riding off into the sunset together. Crunch has to save the world, after all, and Victor had a life to return to that has nothing to do with the hard manual labor and harsh conditions he was forced to live under at HoneyHill, where gruesome happenings were par for the course, and shutting down that operation then cleaning up after it, is still Crunch’s job even as Victor has returned to his pampered and privileged life.
As a gift to readers who fell in love with these two men as they eluded the truth, succumbed to danger, and alluded their way into each other’s arms, K.A. Merikan have written a free bonus scene that brings Victor and Crunch together again not only showing where they are several months later but also proving that the passion they feel for each other has survived beyond HoneyHill.
This bit of steamy flash fiction not only returns with all the charm and sometimes playfulness of their relationship but also serves to remind readers how incredibly playful and sexy these two men are together. This is billed as a standalone, but if you want the full story, I highly recommend reading Stung just because it’s a great book. Then read this tasty little morsel afterward and see why I wish I could go back in time and read both books again for the first time.
