Review: This is the final book in Mary Calmes’s, A Matter of Time series. Aaron and Duncan finally get their story. If you love the series, you will love this story. Again, my book boyfriend list keeps growing and growing. I had read this book several times before the audio came out, so I practically had the book memorized before I listened to it.
Duncan is introduced in Acrobat and then later in But For You, and Aaron throughout A Matter of Time. They are depicted as the underdogs of love, and they finally get their HEA with effort on both sides. It is interesting to see how they help each other work through their issues of living in the closet, which brought them together originally, and how they deal with coming out. I love the chemistry between these two and love the way Mary embeds Duncan and Aaron into each other’s lives (the billionaire life and the middle class detective life, and all that comes with it).
James is one of my “instant buys” if he narrates an audio. He did a good job with this book. I did have some issues with deciphering between character voices in some areas of this book. Since I have read it so many times, I could tell, but at times it was a bit confusing. There were some places I felt, the narration was a bit slow and sped up the audio to 1.5 in speed. I do love James’s voice, so it was by no means painful to listen to his sultry, sexy voice.
If you like the series, you will like the audio. It would definitely go into my listen again category!
