Blurb: Hollywood royalty Jeremy Jameson has lived a sheltered life with music as his sole focus and only friend. Before embarking on yet another international concert tour, he wanders into a bar in what he considers the middle of nowhere and meets a man who wins him over with his friendly smile and easy-going nature. Accountant slash bartender slash adventure-seeker Reg Moore has fun talking and drinking with The Jeremy Jameson and can’t say no when the supposedly straight rock star makes him a once in a lifetime offer: keep him company on his tour by playing the part of his boyfriend.
Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing pretend about their relationship.

Review: Normally when I pick up a Cardeno C. story to read, I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Normally there is a sweet love story. We either get a friends to lovers story, a second chance at love story, or a rocky road to happiness story. I have loved every single one I have read up to this point, so color me shocked when I find out this story is the story of a rocker. Have I mentioned how much I love a good rocker story?
When we are first introduced to Jeremy Jameson, he is traveling incognito and hoping to get some downtime without having to be “on”. When he enters a nondescript bar and settles down to drink a beer or two, he has no clue that his entire future is about to be reshaped.
When the man in the baseball cap pulls up a stool at Reg Moore’s bar, Reg has no idea that the man is the most famous musician in the world…at first. Once Reg realizes who has parked his rump on the barstool across from him, he has already started to like the man. Unlike most celebrities, Jeremy isn’t out to be recognized. He just wants to be one of the guys for the night.
At closing time, Reg realizes that Jeremy has had too much to drink and takes the man’s keys. Reg offers his couch for the night, and Jeremy readily agrees. Once the two men get to Reg’s house, Jeremy finds his second wind, and he realizes he truly enjoys spending time with Reg. The best part is that Reg doesn’t treat him like a celebrity. Around Reg, Jeremy is just Jeremy, and he can’t get enough.
When Jeremy offers Reg an all expense paid trip on his world tour, Reg is so very tempted to say yes, but he waits for a much more sober Jeremy to offer again the next morning before he accepts. When these two hammer out the details for their pretend relationship, some people have a very hard time accepting it, and others seem to accept it very easily.
These two men develop a very close friendship during the tour. Reg drags Jeremy out to live his life on the edge, and Jeremy begins to have feelings for the man. On the other hand, Reg has known since day one that he was going to fall for Jeremy. Reg begins an all out assault on Jeremy as soon as Jeremy begins to show some returned interest.
Jeremy works his way to the same conclusion Reg made months ago; he is falling for Reg. Even though he hasn’t ever shown much interest in men before, Jeremy knows that he has to keep Reg in his life if he wants to by happy.
I feel Cardeno C. has written a great story with Reg and Jeremy. Reg has to be one of the most patient men in the history of the world. Not only is he able to reign in Jeremy’s diva behavior, but he settles the man in ways no one else can.
Once Jeremy figures out his feelings for Reg, this turns into a no holds barred love affair. These two men seemed to just be made for one another. I loved how Reg just knew exactly what Jeremy needed, and he made sure to give it to him, and Jeremy could do the same for Reg.
There was very little, if any, angst in this book, and I think I loved it more because of that. This was a very slow building romantic love story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend this title, it really shouldn’t be missed.
