I’m so thrilled to share the cover and blurb of my upcoming release BOUND FOR TROUBLE. The ultra-talented Paul Richmond did this cover and it conveys the theme of the book so well.
Release date is set for June 18, but you can pre-order from Dreamspinner Press. Buy Here
Here’s more about BOUND FOR TROUBLE:
Daniel “Deke” Kane is a broken man, facing the end of his career in the FBI. He’s on desk duty after a botched drug raid left the suspects and two children dead. He’s got one chance to prove himself, or the only thing he’ll be investigating is the Help Wanted ads.
Ryan Griffiths has been on the run for ten years. Forced onto the streets when his father kicked him out, Ryan earns his living in other men’s beds. Finding his john dead in a hotel room drives him under the radar until a favorite clients gives him a chance at a safe, clean life. But Ryan’s relatively stable new world shatters when Deke Kane catches up with him.
When Deke’s tasked to take down a drug dealer with terrorist ties and a taste for the dark side of BDSM, his only chance to get close is the suspect’s interest in Ryan, and he convinces Ryan to become a confidential informant. In return, Deke offers Ryan immunity from his past. As Ryan falls under the drug lord’s domination, Deke finds himself falling for Ryan.

Great synopsis. Looks like a very exciting ride.
Thanks, Paul! It was fun writing this one, from an idea I’ve had for years and never really got going with it.
I would say that light to medium BDSM is my favorite but it depends on how the subject is handled. Love the cover.
Hi Allison,
This book is pretty light. So if you don’t like the real hardcore stuff, this is probably just right. I hope you’ll give it a try. Thanks for commenting today.
Nice blurb, very intersting, I’d like to read it. Thanks for the giveaway!
Hi Serena, thanks for stopping by to comment. I’m glad this one piqued your interest.
Reblogged this on EM Lynley's Blog.
Medium to heavy BDSM. Love the cover of your newest book. .
Hi Hannah,
THis book is light to medium. Both MCs are new to the scene, so it’s not too intense. Thanks for stopping by to comment!
I read everything from sweet to dark, I have a broad range of interests and love it all! This cover is beautiful! I’m excited for this upcoming release. Congratulations!
Hi Carly,
Thanks for stopping by. I’m in love with the cover too. It really captures Ryan’s personality. THis one is very different from my other books, so it was fun to write.
Light – medium BDSM (some domestic partnership) titles are one of the many tropes I have read in the m/m genre, although I am getting a bit more adventurous in my reading material (but would not read non/con or some of the darker crueller aspects). Did you find BDSM a difficult subject to turn to writing about, as it is different to your Precious Gem/Delectable stories? Will this be a series or a one off?
I love the cover for the book, poor Ryan though those chains look very uncomfortable? I am used to reading stories with the Dom using tape/rope on his Sub, maybe on odd nipple clamp or two and a few other pleasure delayers, so chains are bit of new one for me Is this image how you envisaged Ryan and what images/actor/model inspired you for Deke?
Also, are they are any more stories in the pipeline for and Reed & Trent and what images/actors/models did you use to inspire you for their characters? Would you ever do a Q&A event for your characters with questions from their admirers/readers? Finally (for now) would you ever do an e-book version of Sex, Lies and Wedding Bells? Thank
Hi Sula, I replied to your questions elsewhere, but thanks for stopping by to comment. I’m so thrilled you’ve read so many of my books. Thank you very much!
Hi, yes you did I am sorry about that. It’s just that I thought that you may not return to this site and I have wanted to ask those questions for ages :-D Yes I do love your characters and books, I just wish I had the budget to buy all the books I want to read, as my ‘I Want To Read’ list is just getting longer and longer…
I like all types as long as there’s no torture and mind games to break someone. I prefer stories with Dom/Dommes over guys. I don’t like Doms over females, since I don’t like M/F fic that much and I can’t see myself in a submissive female role.
Thanks for stopping by. I too don’t like the torture scenes. Mine are mostly on the playful side. ;)
I am a fan of all types and genres. It all depends on what kind of mood I am in at the time.
Hi there and thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
I don’t really read too much BDSM but when I do I like to keep it light or in the medium range anything beyond that might make me uncomfortable.
I’m with you! I certainly have my limits in what I’ll read, so I would never write a book or a scene I wouldn’t want to read myself. THanks for stopping by today!
So long as it fits with the characters and the story, I like anything from light to hard. Since I also like my cops and g-men, this really sounds like something I’ll enjoy. :-)
Hi Michelle, I hope you give it a try. You make a great point that the scene should fit the characters and their relationship. Thanks for commenting.
I usually go for light to medium, but it’s more about the tone of the BDSM than the content. (I tend to prefer the playful “sugar kink” scenarios…)
Hi Trix, this story is probably one you’ll enjoy. It’s on the lighter side. I love the term “sugar kink”. Thanks for commenting!
I don’t really seek out BDSM as a topic to read about. For me it is more about the story and, like Trix said, the tone. My preference is probably light or light to medium.
Hi Jen! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I didn’t really have much interest either until I read one that was light and more playful. It got me really intrigued, esp about the psychological aspects of the relationship. I realized when I started reading more that I don’t like everything!
I tend to go for lighter BDSM books, but for me, it really depends on the specific content. Bondage, pain play? Bring it on. D/s? Sure, in the bedroom. Master/slave? Eh, I’ll pass.
Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I haven’t read any M/s that I liked, at least so far. I considered having this story go in that direction and decided against it. I couldn’t get into the mindset of the players well enough to write it.
Please count me in. Thanks!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
I enjoy reading light to medium BDSM. Some heavier is okay as long as it’s not too over the top, but I guess that is all in the eye of the beholder. This book is in my TBR pile. Thank you for the giveaway.
Thanks for commenting, Renee. I hope you enjoy it, so please feel free to contact me and let me know!
I like all types of BDSM books, it just depends on the mood I’m in.
Hi chickie! Thanks for stopping by to comment. Good point about mood being a determining factor in what we like reading. Some days I just can’t handle certain themes. :)
The cover model is great. I don’t usually read hardcore BDSM, but I’ve enjoyed several books where the BDSM is fairly light .
Hi Barbra, I love this cover. Paul Richmond found the perfect photo to show Ryan’s character, a sub with sass. Thanks so much for commenting!
