Hello everyone! My name is Sophie Bonaste and I am guest posting today as part of the GRL Blog Tour. But before I begin I want to send a big thanks to Lisa Horan and all of the great bloggers helping to promote all of us authors attending this year’s conference.
As I write this, there are less than three weeks until GayRomLit 2014! It’s crazy to think that I’m going to Chicago not as a reader, but as a Supporting Author. I didn’t even have one book released at this time last year and now I have that title. I am so honored to stand next to some of the best authors in the genre and I can only hope that I will be able to do GRL proud.
Now, of course, this kind of journey doesn’t come without some stress. Over the last five months, I have worked really hard to decide what I am doing for swag, what kind of marketing materials to bring, how I am going to design my banners and dozens of other little decisions. And I still have to decide how I am getting it all to Chicago. But I have a little time for that.
Then there is the issue I am sure a lot of authors struggle with: being introverted. We are a solitary breed and many of us, myself included, haven’t always had the best interactions with people. We have all heard stories about how amazing GRL is and how wonderful all of the people are and I have no doubts this is true. In fact, I am sure that once I am there I will meet so many people that any fears I have on this topic will instantly evaporate. But for right now, I am still a little nervous about meeting so many people.
Despite all of the stress and all of the worry, I am so looking forward to GRL. I think it will be a wonderful time, being able to hang out with so many people that I have only chatted with online and going to all of the meetings and author chats. Not to mention all of the awesome parties and nighttime activities. I think GRL has the potential to be one of my favorite vacations ever and I can’t wait to get to Chicago and meet everyone.
To everyone going to GRL, if you happen to run into me, please say hello. I fall in the middle of the extroverted-introverted scale. I am not going to run up to people I don’t know and start hugging, but I am okay with getting hugs and I am very friendly to talk to. I will be at the Supporting Author signing and the Friday Author Lounge, as well as around for the entire conference. So swing by and say hi!
Well, that is my GRL story to date. I can’t wait to get to Chicago so I can find out what happens next. In the meantime, I need to go figure out how I am going to pack everything in my suitcase. I will leave you all wonderful readers with the information on my latest book. Thank you again to Lisa Horan and see everyone in Chicago!!

Blurb:
Death is in a lonely business. Since the beginning of time he’s been reaping souls then returning home to his little condo in the sky. It’s not a bad job. There are perks. But Death would kill to meet his soul mate, no pun intended.
Tommy Neilson is the next human slated for death. But when he can see Death, Tommy turns his whole world upside down. Curious, Death seeks Tommy out. The chemistry between the two is immediate and soon an unlikely romance starts to form. While Death may not be lonely anymore, he isn’t allowed to interact with humans. Consequently, he must make a choice: billions of souls or the one that makes being immortal worth it.

Author Bio: Sophie Bonaste is a novelist who never set out to be a novelist. As a child, she wanted to a Broadway actress and spent her childhood in numerous productions. But when adulthood set in and reality took over, Sophie chose to give up the theatre for a steady paycheck and instead turned to writing as a creative outlet. She stumbled into the M/M genre through fanfiction and never looked back. Sophie is quite happy with her change in artistic expression and doesn’t plan to stop writing for a long time.
A self-proclaimed nerd, Sophie is an avid fan of all things Star Wars and Harry Potter. (Sophie is a member of the Slytherin house, for those who were wondering.) Sophie also spends many hours watching and re-watching nerdy television shows. When she is not obsessing over the latest and greatest in nerdy entertainment, Sophie can be found screaming at her television during American football games. (Go Pack Go!) Sophie currently lives in Pennsylvania, about twenty minutes from her childhood town of The Middle of Nowhere.
Sophie loves to hear from readers! You can reach her by e-mail at sophiebonaste@gmail.com, on Twitter or on Facebook. You can also check out updates on Sophie’s writing and other musings on her website.
