Blurb: Theo was everything Hoani wanted in a husband – his best friend, lover and a great papa for Hoani’s son Dion.
Only, Theo died, leaving an ache in Hoani’s heart and a gap that could never be filled. And that was just the way Hoani wanted it
Except Theo wasn’t done yet.
So when Hoani starts to hear his husband’s voice, encouraging him to move on, Hoani doesn’t want to listen. As if anyone could replace his Theo…
But Theo proves as stubborn as Hoani, and he isn’t going to let this go.
Not when Hoani’s future happiness is at stake.
Maybe Hoani needs to start listening to those quiet whispers…

Excerpt: Hoani poked out his tongue, showing a more playful side that Theo had not yet seen. After assuring Dion he could come back and play after he had a drink and a snack he happily followed Theo to the massive kitchen. Norah was nowhere to be seen however, and Hoani asked of her.
“She has gone to lie down, but she said to tell you she is fine. The air conditioning doesn’t seem to be agreeing with her.”
Hoani nodded, knowing this to be true and that she would have the air conditioning off in her room. Theo made tea for them all before taking it out to the porch where they could sit in the shade and look over the front garden. Dion wasn’t much interested in the adult talk and quickly drank his tea and wolfed down a cookie before being excused to play again.
“How long can you stay?” Theo asked.
“A few days.”
“Well, we’d better make the most of it. Would you like a tour of the ranch?”
“How about another tour of your bedroom?” Hoani stood and held out his hand.
“What about your mother and Dion?”
“Somehow I don’t think they would notice if we went missing for several hours.”
Theo all but dragged Hoani to his bedroom, but not before stopping off and checking that Dion was indeed happy and knew where the bathroom was. Several hours later Hoani woke and watched Theo as he slept. The sun was sinking, but the room was still light enough to see the weathered, handsome face of his lover, the salt and pepper hair not only on his head, but chest and pubic area: the laughter lines around his eyes that were the only wrinkles to be seen; the tan line that showed where his shirt hid his skin from the sun while he worked, the rest of his skin a bronzed colour, not unlike his own, if not darker. Hoani gave a contented sigh.
Their lovemaking wasn’t hard and fast like it would have been. Instead, they had taken their time to explore each other’s body. He discovered the scar on Theo’s back, which he’d sustained from being kicked by an angry bull at a rodeo. His delicious cock was cut, something new to Hoani, and he wondered what Theo thought of his uncut one. However, it might not have been something new to him, as he was older and no doubt more experienced than himself. As much as he would’ve loved to have stayed, watching his lover sleep, he had to get up. Dion would be wanting food before too long.
About the Author: Living in a small town in New Zealand, E. S. Skipper writes during the quiet of the day, but being the owner of an over excitable puppy, quiet is not always possible. Even though English is the first language of many of his friends, the difference between Kiwi English and American English has produced a lot of laughter among friends and fans alike.
Living in the Land of the Long White Cloud, Kiwi characters feature strongly in most of E.S’s stories. Writing was a hobby but soon became a way of life. E. S. believes that love is love, no matter who it’s with, and everyone deserves to be with the person of their choice. A true romantic at heart, E. S. Skipper believes everyone will have their happily ever after.
