Good luck!
Interestingly enough, I was first introduced to the M/M genre about a year ago. Already writing contemporary romance, I couldn’t help but notice that all of my favorite bloggers were raving about the same book. At first, I didn’t pay much attention, as I had no experience with M/M romance. When the 5 star reviews kept coming in, I finally decided I had to see what all of the excitement was about and purchased it.
That book was Nyrae Dawn’s Rush, and it opened me up to a genre I instantly fell in love with.
I was in the middle of writing my first series, the Famous series, but knew I wanted to attempt a M/M romance of my own at some point. When I created a spin-off series about a very successful rock band, I decided that I would dip my toes in the water by making one of my rock stars gay. I’ve been planning this book since about August of 2014, so finally having it done and ready for readers is mind blowing and humbling.
In the time between August and now, I’ve immersed myself in the M/M genre, to learn every important facet of a committed gay male relationship. From terminology, to getting into a man’s mindset, all of it is different than when writing a heterosexual romance. What isn’t different is that men are emotional beings, just like women. I think that surprises some people, and personally, is one of the things I love about M/M. Men are deeper than just sex, they fall in love, get hurt, lash out, and do all of things that would typically be assigned to a female in a romance novel. Of course, some stereotypes prevail. Men, in general, aren’t very good at communicating their feelings. You do have to take that into account when writing a romance that only features men.
My favorite authors in the genre are way too many to list. I’d include Nyrae Dawn, Kindle Alexander, Felice Stevens, Jay Northcote, and so many more. I pretty much read any M/M romance that comes up on my Kindle. I’m easy like that.
Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy Gavin and Mitch’s story! Pouty rock star meets grumpy ex-FBI agent? What could go wrong?
xoxo
Blurb: All Gavin Walker, bass player for the multi-platinum selling band, Sphere of Irony, wants to do is surf, play music, and occasionally get laid. The problem is that Gavin has a stalker. A potentially deadly one. The threats he receives always mention something about Gavin being gay, which isn’t public knowledge since the record label wants to keep it quiet.
Mitch Hale used to track serial killers for the FBI. A live-changing incident led him to quit the bureau and start his own company providing computerized security for Los Angeles’ wealthiest people. Mitch doesn’t know anyone when he moves across the country from D.C. to California, and all he has for companionship is a pathetic string of failed relationships with women.
When Gavin’s manager hires Mitch to find the stalker, the men instantly hate each other. Despite the constant fighting, attraction between the two blazes hot, confusing the former FBI agent. Spending time with Gavin forces Mitch reflect on what he’s denied about himself for the last ten years. Listening to Mitch’s plan to catch a madman thrusts Gavin’s personal life out in the open for the entire world to see.
Can Gavin and Mitch stop fighting long enough to stop a stalker before someone gets hurt? Or will they stubbornly resist the feelings that develop when they’re forced to work together?
This is book 3 in a 4 part series. It is a spin-off of the Famous Series. These can be read as standalones.

About the Author: I am a reader first and foremost, that’s what led me to begin writing down all of the stories crammed into my head.
I’ve always wondered about fame and fortune, and whether or not it’s worth it to give up most of your private life and time to be in the public eye. The more I thought about it, the more stories built up inside me. Eventually, they had to come out. That’s what began the Famous Series.
I like to write about the dark side of fame and how it truly affects those living in the fishbowl of today’s celebrity-obsessed culture.
After growing up in New England, I currently live outside of Atlanta, GA with my husband and two children.
When I’m not spinning tales of the rich and famous, I’m a full time procrastinator. I love chocolate, dogs with squished in faces, and the Boston Red Sox.
