Blurb: Duncan has a secret fantasy, but is Tyler the right man for the job?
Tyler’s new policeman boyfriend, Duncan, is gorgeous. Tall, broad, and über-masculine, he’s the epitome of the dominant top—in appearance at least.
When they discuss their sexual fantasies, Duncan confesses to a secret desire that surprises Tyler. Luckily for Duncan, Tyler’s happy to oblige and is determined to give Duncan a night to remember.
Review: I have enjoyed Jay Northcote’s writing thus far, and this is no exception. Top Me Maybe? is the story of Duncan and Tyler. It’s a bit of an opposites attract sort of story in that Duncan is a tall, dark and handsome, brawny policeman who is rather freshly out of the closet, and Tyler is a hairstylist with blonde hair and a slender build. Together they have a lot of fun in their month of dating, and Duncan is a sweet and gentle man who is a wonderful top for Tyler.
One evening, as they are sharing, Duncan confesses that he does fantasize about being topped, and to Tyler, who has always been versatile, this is music to his ears. But will this work? Is Duncan serious about it, and what if he doesn’t like it? Tyler has a few fears, but he’s willing to put them aside to give Duncan what he needs and move their relationship to the next level.
Both characters are sweet and gentle with each other. They communicate in a warm and honest way that makes us root for them. They show genuine caring for each other and want to give each other what they need. I found them to be delightful together. It’s definitely a short and angst free read – recommended for anyone who needs a quick fix of the happy.
