Blurb: Julian “Quinn” Quinetro, a gruff, tough Miami SWAT officer, has been injured on the job, and all he’s looking for is a little peace and quiet to recover—difficult to achieve with his large Cuban family. An adventure in picking up his prescriptions puts him in the path of his geeky, brownie-baking neighbor, Spencer Morgan. Spencer sweeps into Quinn’s life like a tropical storm of sunshine and rainbows. Not surprisingly, it’s chaos at first sight. Quinn’s in need of a little tender loving care, and Spencer decides he’s just the man for the job. Their very different lives might clash, but they might also find some common ground—and maybe more.
Review: Oh my…I love Charlie Cochet. I have an extreme love for grumpy, growly characters who soften and are sweet to the one that they love, and I think Charlie Cochet is a master at writing them. And, alright, I also have a soft spot for sweet, geeky guys too…and in this book I got both.
The way humor is weaved throughout the story is awesome. When Quinn walks into Spencer’s apartment the first time, the entire encounter had me laughing out loud. Then later, when Quinn’s family showed up, I again couldn’t help but laugh because honestly, Quinn’s family was amazing.
This brings me to another thing I have loved about all of the Charlie Cochet books I have read—the secondary characters. Although the story is definitely about Quinn and Spencer, you can’t help but love those characters around them…well, most of them, but even those characters you don’t like (I wouldn’t have minded slapping Javier upside his head) are fleshed out, and you are able to connect with them all, adding another layer to the story.
Although this story is short and sweet and I would have loved more, because I am greedy and loved the characters that much, the story is fantastic and is a perfect example of why Charlie Cochet is an auto-buy author for me.

Great review. I finished it this morning and enjoyed it so much. I too am greedy and would have loved a full length book.
