Guest Post and Giveaway: The Overly Dramatic Blog Tour with Rebecca Cohen

WP: Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Rebecca Cohen, author of Overly Dramatic.

Hi Rebecca, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

RC: I’m a Brit living in Switzerland, with my hubby and toddler son. I’ve been here nearly four years and I’m still trying to learn German! I’ve written for many years, mainly for stress relief due to my interesting, but sometimes intense, day job, and consider myself highly fortunate that in the last few years I’ve been published by Dreamspinner Press.

• What do you find attractive in a man?
• Someone who is not a self-obsessed, bed-hopping arsehole. Hmmm, I think my break up with the ex may have skewed my opinion. But, in all seriousness, someone who is loyal and sincere.

• The first thing that went through your head when you saw Phil?
• He’d just dropped a box of props, so I reckon I thought he was a clumsy butterfingers. But he has a kind baby face, and filled a pair of jeans very nicely.

• Do you think you’ll insist the author visits you again?
• I already have. Although Phil and I weren’t available for the second story, Summer Season, but I am in the final novella, He’s Behind You. You’ll get to meet Craig and Jason. They’re a lovely couple, I’m sure you’ll like them.

• Before you met Phil, what was your ideal man?
• I didn’t have one. Charlie, my ex, was enough to convince me there was no such thing.

• You’re going out for dinner. What’s your favorite food?
• I love food and have a real sweet tooth. A desert with salted caramel will always win for me.

Blurb: Andy Marshall moves to London looking for a fresh start after breaking up with his long-term boyfriend. To stave off boredom from his day job as an accountant and to meet new people, Andy joins a local amateur dramatics society called the Sarky Players based in Greenwich, South London. Despite his best efforts to avoid it, Andy is cast as one of the leads in a truly dreadful play called Whoops, Vicar, There Goes My Trousers, written by a local playwright.

The play might be bad, but the Sarky Players are a friendly bunch. Andy quickly makes new friends and finds himself attracted to Phil Cormack, a local artist helping with the props. But life doesn’t run to a script, so Andy and Phil will have to work hard to improvise their own happy ending.
