Review: Dustin Davis literally bumps into Archer Kyriakides one day and from that day on, Dustin is on a quest to find Archer and love him. To Dustin’s dismay, though, Archer isn’t easy to find, or, for that matter, easy to love. Because Archer has a twin brother, Asher, and what a piece of work that slimeball is. Everything Archer is—loyal, kind and responsible—Asher isn’t.

Dustin and Archer’s journey to their HEA is rocky. Dustin learns that to love someone you have to trust that person, not accept everything at face value, and to trust that your partner will maneuver through the rough waters of family and work to come through as a person he thinks is worthy of love.

The narrator, Rusty Topsfield, is great. He’s a new narrator for me, and I really felt he worked hard to bring the characters to life. He added a lot to the story that Piper Vaughn and M.J. O’Shea wrote. The female voice of Archer and Asher’s mom was a little wonky, though—sounded like a man trying to sound like a middle age housewife. Some narrators can pull this off but not very often does it work. At least I am hoping “Middle-Aged” moms don’t all sound like that to their sons or daughters.

What I would recommend, if you are considering getting this audio, is that you also purchase One Small Thing, the first book in the series. The two audios together give you a great story on how the family of Rue Murray and Dustin Davis came to be, and is worth the price and the time.
