Blurb: Sloane loves a good mystery. He grew up as the son of two psychiatrists, so he finds most people tediously easy to figure out. When Sloane ends up stuck on campus over Christmas, Micah invites him to spend the holidays at their family farm in Amish country. Review: I sincerely just adore Eli Easton’s words. I read Unwrapping Hank when it was released last year, and loved it, so when I saw the audio was available I pounced on it, too. SO glad I did. I had forgotten how much I loved the book until completely falling in love with Sloane, Hank, and Micah – and, of course, Hank and Micah’s parents, and the family bulldog, Grinch – all over again through my car speakers.

I have to talk Sloane for a moment, because he’s my favorite (don’t tell Hank or Micah)…Dear, dear Frenchie. Ha! I love when Hank calls him Frenchie – and, I think Sloane secretly likes it as well. Sloane is amazing. He’s incredibly well-rounded, intelligent, has a great sense of humor, and is a genuinely warm and loving guy. His warmth is one of the things I love most about him, and I find it surprising, given that his own parents seem somewhat distant. The relationship he starts to almost instantly develop with Hank and Micah’s mom is one of my favorite parts of the story.

Tristan Wright’s performance was fantastic. I had to get used to some of his character voices, at first they didn’t quite sit right with me, but I love his regular speaking voice – or, what I assume is his regular voice, which he uses for Sloane – and the rest of it definitely grew on me. Honestly, everything about the book was enhanced by the narration. His pacing was near perfect, and he did an amazing job with the dialogue and all of the humorous scenes (I would think it must be tough to nail the funny bits sometimes, but he really was great). I HIGHLY recommend this one, guys!! Add it to your collection, even if you’ve already read it! I think my heart grew three sizes while I listened. ;)
