Searching for ShelterBlurb: Teen shelter volunteer Rich searches for love until Diego, from LVMPD Search and Rescue, finds him.

After declaring his love life officially dead, Rich wonders if maybe he should stick with his shifter book boyfriends instead. It’s not as if he has much free time to date anyway. Between working long hours at a coffee shop, guarding his sodas from his hygienically challenged roommates, and running the programming at the Vegas LGBTQ teen shelter he founded – how could there ever be space for love in his life?

Diego Espinoza enjoys taking his downtime from working Search and Rescue, at the Lucky Cup coffee shop. He can set up his laptop, peruse good sport climbing spots and observe the blond barista he’s been pining over for a while. He imagines that the pretty boy has more offers than he knows what to do with, so it takes Diego time to work up the nerve to approach him.

Rich isn’t so sure about the rough looking Diego – even if he’s always thought he was hot – but once he decides to gives Diego a chance, there’s an immediate heat and connection that takes him by surprise. As they learn more about each other and try to find the way to a future together, strange and scary things start to happen.

It isn’t until Rich is injured in a bizarre accident that it becomes clear that there’s someone out there who not only doesn’t want Rich to find love – they want him dead.

Excerpt: Rich was propped up on his elbows, trembling. It wasn’t fear. He’d never felt so alive. Diego had jostled something loose inside him. When Diego took him, he was sure it’d be better than he could ever have imagined.

Diego had been removing his shirt as Rich openly stared at him. Diego had instructed him not to move, so he hadn’t. He’d do whatever Diego said because he was sure it would be amazing. As soon as the tank came off, Rich almost lost control.

Jesus.

Rich idly wondered if Diego posed for beefcake calendars. Like maybe they had ones the way they did for firemen where he posed wearing a climbing harness and briefs. Maybe with some ropes… Rich licked his lips. Ropes. He whimpered.

Diego removed his belt, sliding it through the loops with a soft swishing sound. He dropped it on the floor. The clanging of the belt buckle against the wooden stand made him jump. Diego paused.

“Do I scare you?”

Rich shook his head frantically. “No. I’m just really wound up.” He let out a shaky laugh.

“What do you like Rich?” Diego unzipped his jeans.

Like?

“Uh, I…” His face heated. “I’ve never done anything really wild, if that’s what you mean.”

Diego stepped out of his pants then advanced on him. He tugged at Rich’s shirt, freeing it from his waistband. “How about I tell you what I like, and you let me know whether it’s okay or not.” Diego unbuckled Rich’s belt then popped the button of Rich’s slacks.

Rich nodded, barely able to force his head to move. His cock throbbed and leaked so much he figured he was pretty much done for. When Diego smiled back at him, the promise in his expression was clear. He had no doubt that the good things Diego had said he wanted to do would, in reality, be incredible.

“I like men’s asses.” Diego unzipped Rich’s pants, encouraging him to lift his hips so he could tug them down. “Love them, really. Like playing with a man’s hole, fingering, licking, tongue fucking. I swear I could do it for hours.”

“Holy…” Rich’s mouth had gone completely dry.

Diego yanked on Rich’s briefs. “Sound good so far?”

Rich let out a strangled sound that he’d meant as a yes.

“Wonderful.”

Rich nodded, still doubtful he could make sense if he spoke. As Diego dragged his underwear down his body, Rich’s hard shaft popped free, smacking his belly. He hissed from how sensitive the tip was. Diego swiped his finger across the pre-cum left behind then bought his finger to his lips, sucking it in. Diego moaned.

“Perfect. You taste as wonderful as I’d hoped. I bet your cum is even better. That’s something else I love.”

  1. I’ve read a couple of stories in this series, and each could be read as a standalone – which I like! (sometimes I just need randomness in my reading, lol). I loved the sound of that blurb, seems to promise an interesting stories. Adding this to my TBR shelf. :)

Thanks for this post & chance for the giveaway.
