Blurb: He’ll marry the maid to get $50 million but a secret could queer the deal.
Taylor Fitzgerald needs a last-minute bride.
On the eve of his twenty-fifth birthday, the billionaire’s son discovers that despite being gay, he must marry a woman before midnight or lose a fifty-million-dollar inheritance. So he hightails it to Las Vegas… where he meets the beautiful maid Ally May.
There’s just one rather significant problem: Ally is actually Alessandro Macias, son of a tough Brazilian hotel magnate. But if Ally keeps pretending to be a girl for a little while longer, is there a chance they might discover this marriage is tailor-made?
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Have you ever been in the mood for just a really great, amusing, light romance read? One you don’t have to think too hard about or try to analyze? Taylor Maid is that book.
Taylor Fitzgerald has been a playboy his entire life; born into a wealthy family, he is due to receive his inheritance from his grandfather on his 25th birthday. Unfortunately, he has had too much of a devil-may-care attitude and didn’t read the fine print on his grandfathers will, which states that if he is not married to his true love by the time he turns twenty-five, the money reverts to his father…and Taylor’s father really wants to get his hands on the money. All fifty-million of it.
Now Taylor has less than six hours to get married so that he can keep the money for a group of LGBTQ shelters he supports. And the race is on! Every plan Taylor makes falls apart, until he is captivated with the way the maid sings as she cleans his hotel room.
Ally is on the run—in disguise, he works as a hotel maid to make sure his hotel magnate father cannot find him. Accepting a marriage proposal from a visitor at the hotel seems like the kind of opportunity he cannot pass up, especially since it would mean getting even farther away from his controlling family. Only Taylor thinks he’s a girl, and his father’s thugs are right outside the Vegas chapel, and Taylor’s father is vowing to expose the marriage as a fake, and what can two men do but fall in love for real with all that going on?
This book is all about fate and finding your other half when you least expect it. It’s got romp, romance and a HEA—what’s not to love?
