Blurb: Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett have managed the impossible: a few months of peace and quiet. After nearly a year of personal and professional turmoil, they’re living together conflict-free, work is going smoothly, and they’re happy, healthy, and home every night before dark. But anyone who knows them knows that can’t possibly last.

When an emergency call from home upsets the balance of their carefully arranged world, Ty and Zane must juggle family drama with a perplexing crime to save a helpless victim before time runs out.

From the mountains of West Virginia to a remote Texas horse ranch harboring more than just livestock and childhood memories, Ty and Zane must face their fears—and their families—to overcome an unlikely enemy and bring peace back into their newly shared world.

Dividers

Review: I really enjoy the fact that J.F. Harding was selected to narrate the remaining books in the Cut & Run series. How do I describe that Ty sounds like Ty and Zane actually sounds like the Zane in my imagination? From my perspective, the voices finally fit the characters.

Now, Lisa already gave a full review of Stars & Stripes (the e-book), which pretty much sums up my take on it, so without repeating her, I would like to add that as I was listening to Stars & Stripes, I really enjoyed how the boys came out to their parents and the aftermath that followed. Also, I’d be interested in seeing how Chester and Harrison would interact with each other at a family get-together. Oh, and there was nothing sexier than the narration of Ty in a Stetson. Kudos to J.F. Harding for his performance, since the man has one heck of a sexy voice for that type of scene.

When I first read Stars & Stripes a few years back, my original rating was 4 stars, but it’s moved up a notch since I caught on to a couple of things that I’d missed out on, which the audio enhanced, like those tender moments between Ty and Zane. Harding brought out just how much these two genuinely care about each other. And, I’d also missed out on some of the humor the first time around. Then again, that’s what I love about audiobooks and why I sometimes hold off on reading books, knowing that the audible version will soon follow.

Stars & Stripes, the audiobook, is a highly recommended addition to your collection, if you love the Cut & Run series.
