Good luck!
My name Kitty Stephens. I currently reside in Ohio, with my husband, my son, and our three guinea pigs. I’ve been an avid reader since I was very young and started writing when I was around nine or ten. Once I had internet access, I became active in fan communities and started posting my work on various fan sites. Set Me Free is my first book.
If I Suddenly Had Millions of Dollars
This is such a difficult question, because you would immediately have a bunch of options. All of them are pretty cliché, as well, but here goes.
If I suddenly had a million dollars, here is what I would (after I fainted, of course). I would definitely make sure to pay my taxes on it. That’s not the most glamorous answer, but it makes the most sense to me. There are so many stories in the new about people who got tons of money but didn’t pay the taxes, and I do not want to end up like that!
After that, I would sit down with an investment advisor and work on setting up a portfolio. It’s not something I do now, but I think it’s what everyone who comes into money is advised to do. That way I can possibly add to my funds to set off any spending I might do. I would definitely get that in place right away, because I dislike not have a set plan.
Third, I would pay off my debt. It would be amazing to pay off credit cards and bills and not have to worry about putting food on the table. Being debt free would be such a huge relief for me and my family. I would also help my family with their debts as well, and also set up some kind of a trust fund for my son and my nieces and nephews. It would hopefully curb family members from dropping out of the wood work to continually ask for money.
Lastly, I would make sure that we had a nice (but not too over the top) house to live in, along with brand new cars. We’re currently squished into a townhouse, but it would be nice to have a house with several bedrooms (that way the guinea pigs could have so much more space). I won’t lie, I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a shopping spree or ten in there somewhere as well. And that’s what I’d do if I had a million dollars.
