Hello, all! Thank you for joining me here today as we continue to celebrate the release of Smoke & Mirrors, the 7th book in the THIRDS series! A big thank you to The Novel Approach for hosting me. On yesterday’s stop we had Dexter J. Daley’s character profile, so of course today we have the love of Dex’s life, his grumpy jaguar Therian boyfriend Sloane Brodie.
Like Dex, Sloane has come a long way from book 1, perhaps going through even more character growth than Dex. Sloane’s not in a good place when we begin the series, and the last thing he wants is a new partner, especially a partner like the Cheesy Doodle crunching Dexter J. Daley. Sloane has no idea what to make of the guy, and has no idea how Dex is about to change his life. By the time we get to book 7, Sloane can’t imagine his life without Dex’s laughter, enthusiasm, or shenanigans. He’s fiercely protective, loving, and has no intention of ever letting Dex go.

Sloane, sexy doesn’t cover it, he’s totally drool worthy for both his outsides and his insides, who could resist that strength, competence, tenderness and the underlying vulnerability? Gah, we should all have a Sloane as well as a Dex in our lives.

Happy bookversarry, Charlie. As much as I like the whole Destructive Delta my favourite of the lot had to Ash (he needs someone beside Cael to root for him lol), besides I’m a Leo it’ll be sacrilege not faving him. :D

Stumbled across this series by mistake but fell in love with everyone. Charlie is such an amazing author the way she writes her characters. I simply can’t pick a favourite. Well done Charlie on another truly awesome book.

I think Dex is my absolute favorite because he’s more relatable to me. His taste in 8Os music, classics cars and junk good has me sold. But I have a hard time actually saying his the best ’cause I love them all, even the jerk Taylor. Would love to see him with a HEA. He has a huge story that needs told!!!!! Right, Charlie??? Lol! Love Dex and Sloan, but his baby brother is my favorite. He is smart, shy, funny and just makes me want to pinch his cheeks. Cael is my favorite.

Sloane is my favourite character. He was so lost and sad at the beginning, but now he had Dex. They say opposites attract and in this case they certainly do. Love them!!

Loved this book! It’s difficult to choose. Dex is wonderful but Cael might be my favorite. I’d like to see Seb and Hudson get their HEA and Austen and Zach.

First he’s just an big kid. I love how he is and he’s just so friggin cute at the same time as being cool. and he has Sloane as noyfriend, a georgeous big black kitten. He made his boyfriend purr. He had the best introduction one can have into a team, who can say to ‘steal’ a bear’s snack and than being picked up like that? His jokes, his pranks, his love to his brother, his toughness without loosing his nerdy 80s kid heart, his loyalty to friends and family, there are just so much I love about him~~
