Hey there! This is Jenn Dease, MLR Press Author, writing the blog that ‘Almost Wasn’t’. What do I mean by that? That due to this past weekend, I ‘Almost’ forgot to write this blog.
My sister was married this weekend. A good wedding. A fine couple. Both widowed, yet they found each other. It was beautiful. I wish them all the happiness they can have.
I took an extra day off work to #1, be available to run if needed, #2, write this blog and my own blog.
And I ran. To the grocery store. To the craft store. To pick up our dresses. To grab something to eat. To. To. To. But, I was happy to do it. My Sister Was Getting Married!!
The blog? Well, I had the first paragraph written before the first phone call. An intro and a thank you to The Novel Approach. And I do thank them so much for being so understanding.
What else was I going to blog about? I am going to GRL in Kansas City! This will be my first GRL, but hopefully not the last. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and the other authors I love to read. From everything I hear, this will be a Great Retreat!
And, I have a new book coming from MLR Press on September 30. Storming Love: Tsunami Max & Rob. This is a contemporary set in New Zealand. And it takes place on a boat out in the ocean during a tsunami.

Other news: MLR Press took my three Dragon Marines books, Captain’s Mate, Lonnie’s New Christmas and Dragon’s Surprise and are PRINTING them in a single volume!!! Dragon Marines, Vol. 1.
Yes, there will be more Dragon Marines books. I am currently working on one that has an Ice Dragon as one of the main characters. Ice Dragons are very rare and live in Antarctica.
