The Best (or Worst) Places to Read Sexy Stories: Halloween Edition
Hello, and thank you so much for having me back at TNA to talk about my latest release, WITCHY BOYS: SEXY STORIES FOR DARK NIGHTS. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, so having a themed release just in time is like a dream for me.
We’ve all been in the awkward position of reading a super spicy book in public, amiright? Sitting on the bus or the plane, flipping to a page with the word “cock” on it about 20 times, and hoping the old man beside you isn’t sneaking a peek. Bless the advent of the e-reader for saving us some trouble, but it’s still there on the page, glowing. Even if you don’t care about the little old man’s opinion, there’s still the odd… mental disconnect. On the page, you’re in a world of hot love. In your seat… not so much.
In that spirit, I’ve compiled a list of some of the best and worst places to read super sexy stories–the Halloween edition! I’m helpful like that!
BEST: In line at a haunted house. Heart beating faster every time someone inside screams bloody murder? Rethinking your decision to scare the crap out of yourself willingly? What you need is a distraction, my friend, and what could be more distracting than some Halloween-themed blow jobs? Wait, is that a thing? Anyhow…
WORST: Waiting for the next trick or treaters. Way too much mental whiplash there. Terrible idea.
BEST: On a stormy night. Ah, the fall thunderstorm, absolutely miserable unless you’re inside! Light a candle and find your favorite warm blanket, because it is time to get cozy. A hot, spooky read is just the thing.
WORST: In the theater at a scary movie. Maybe all the gore is a little too much to handle. Maybe you’re tired of the characters who dare to have sex dying and need a pick-me-up. Still, don’t do it. That glow from the screen is super annoying.
BEST: While enjoying a hot beverage. Mmmm warm, mulled cider is just the thing to take the heat to another level. For the spirit-inclined, toss in some bourbon. That’ll really get you glowing.
WORST: At your friend’s costume party. Hey, I’m an introvert too; I know how it goes. And I know there’s always that one guy who thinks he’s super funny but is actually on your last nerve. And I know if you eat one more cookie you’re going to go into a sugar coma. But just find the dog and pet it, if you need a break. Much better strategy.
I hope you find this list handy as October rolls onward :D Drop in the comments and let me know your fave/least fave reading spots, and enter the giveaway!

“Blood Magic and the Mini Zombie Apocalypse”
Griff has a bad habit of getting talked into black magic he shouldn’t be using—but this time it’s even worse. His ex is bent on revenge in the form of a mini zombie apocalypse, and the only person who can help Griff is a hottie white magic practitioner named Blythe. The catch: one of Griff’s spells gone wrong left Blythe with a haunted apartment a year ago, and Blythe isn’t over it.
Still, Blythe agrees to work with Griff. As they unravel the ugly blood, sex, and death magic, they also discover surprising things about each other. Hopefully, it’s enough for the ultimate trust they’ll need to defeat a lot of zombies and a crazed witch, or their town will end up covered in corpses.
“Præsidium”
Six years ago, Thackeray agreed to let a demon haunt him in exchange for help hunting other demons. It’s a lonely life, but worth it to be the best demon hunter possible — to save families from the kind of evil that ruined his own childhood.
This Hallowe’en, Thackeray’s dealing with an upstart coven. A powerful, pretty witch named Matt defects to help Thackeray stop their scheme to invite god-knows-what from the other side.
Demons are much easier to fight than the urges Matt’s flirting inspires. But Thackeray can’t hook up with a demon watching over his shoulder… can he?

LOL! I like your list. My favourite spots for reading depend on the wheather. In the summer, it is in my parents garden, under a willow tree which is a really nice place, quiet and relaxing. In winter, I love to read on my couch, under a blanket, with my kitty and a nice cup of tea.
Congratulations on the new release, Katey. It sounds so good. It is already in my TBR list
Congrats on your newest book, Katey!
My favourite reading spot is – obviously – my room; but as for spot… I could just lie or sitting crossed-leg on the floor reading or whatever. I could read in the car on the way somewhere too. What I don’t like is reading standing up. ;-)
I like reading on a couch, in bed, in cafes, on a bus or train…not too fussy, obviously!
congrats on the new release…can’t wait to read.
You had me at “mini zombie apocalypse!” Excited to read!
