Blurb: Creatures of the Night and Santa’s Christmas duties don’t mix. Every myth and bedtime story tells you so.
But on Christmas Eve, when the Elves walked off the job over pension rights, it was time for me—Irwin, the only vampire on Santa’s payroll, despite recent diversity initiatives—and my trusty team to help out. Just deliver a few parcels, Santa asked me. Just help out on your local patch. Just for one night.
Armed with my reluctance to face all that human sentimentality, and accompanied by a wise-cracking werewolf and an unruly fairy with a taste for vodka, I did my best. Honest.
But we were heading for disaster until I came face-to-face with cute babysitter Benny. It’s Santa’s Number One Rule—no interaction with the clients. But Benny somehow managed to upset my appetite, inflame my libido, and restore my faith in the Christmas spirit, with one cheeky smile and a tasty body piercing.
It’s Christmas, and the show must go on!

Review: Okay, this had to be the cleverest Christmas story I have read in a long time! Honestly, author Clare London turns the whole idea of Santa delivering presents on its ear by giving us three various “evil” creatures doing duty to help out the swamped “big guy” on Christmas Eve. The “team” of helpers include one rather randy vampire, a hungry werewolf, and an alcoholic fairy. If that is not enough to pique your interest, when they happen upon a sweet young man babysitting for friends, who just happens to be from a group home, the “awww” factor leaps to the forefront–along with his rather overactive libido.
This story is deceptively simple, funny in so many great ways, and just plain enjoyable. When Benny convinces Irwin (the vampire) to drop by his former group home to deliver some presents, things really heat up between the two of them, and Irwin’s partners in crime make themselves scare as Benny and he get busy in all the right ways. Clare London has written a fun romp of a story that left me smiling well after the last page. Its snappy dialogue, with just enough snark to make you chuckle, is added to a feel good plot line that is just zany enough to really work! Bite Night is well done, humorous, and steamy good in all the right ways.
