Blurb: A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship.
Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived…
Well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the Bright Future.
When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends. Theo’s ex economics tutor and newest roommate Mr. Jamie Cooper seems to be a possible and convenient match. Real convenient. Like written in the stars, convenient.
All he has to do is make sure this Jamie is good enough. Could really be The One for her, and the friend for him.
But watch out, Leo, the stars have a surprise in store…
Review: Ok guys, I’ve got some more Anyta Sunday love to throw your way today, so here goes! :) Her latest book to win my heart is Leo Loves Aries, which released this past December. Cute title, cute cover, super cute premise…it was another one that made me feel good and just oh-so-happy that I had read it. The formula that she has going on is obviously one that clicks with me; her stories are charming, relatable, fun, and sexy! Such good stuff.
In Leo Loves Aries, we are introduced to Theo and Leone, one of the greatest brother and sister duos I have read in a long time. I LOVED them. They were both so smart and funny, and so fantastic together. Theo’s love for his twin sister—really, their love and admiration for each other—was such an endearing part of his character. And, this line, when Jamie, their prospective new roommate, comes over for the first time…
“…Shoes in the rack, middle shelf next to mine, laces tucked in.” Theo heard Leone moving in the next room. “Then come meet the most amazing woman you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting.”
Awwwwwww…right?? And, even though it’s early in the book and we’re still getting to know Theo, you just know that it’s one of the most sincere things he’s ever said. These two Leos shine together.
The whole ‘Jamie as a roommate’ thing starts out innocently enough. Theo contacted Jamie to try to talk him into tutoring him for an economics class, and during the discussion found out that he was looking for a place to rent. It all works out, Jamie moves in, but while getting to know him, Theo gets the idea that Jamie would be a perfect guy for his sister to date—and, to bring to their exes’ wedding. Yes, you read that correctly. Theo’s ex and Leone’s ex are marrying each other, and were so kind [insert eye roll] as to invite Theo and Leone to the wedding. I know. I can’t either. As I’m sure you’ve guessed, though, Theo’s brilliant idea turns out much, much differently than he planned.
The whole courtship, which Theo doesn’t even realize is happening, is fantastic. Theo has been falling in love with Jamie since day one, but practically needs a blow to the head to make him see it! Once he does see it, however, he’s more than ready to get ‘sexed up’, as he puts it to Jamie at one point. Heh. I fell pretty hard for Jamie myself, so I completely understand how it snuck up on Theo. Jamie was ah-mazing. I do have to say, I was a bit worried about his heart in a couple of places, because our sweet Theo was so very clueless, but Sunday makes the ride nice and smooth in the end. I absolutely adored these guys together.
If you haven’t checked this one out yet, I highly recommend you do. It’s sure to have you smiling, swooning, laughing, and maybe checking your horoscope! Who knows what the stars might have in store for you?! And, don’t forget to read Leo Tops Aries afterwards. It’s a sexy little snippet with Jamie and Theo that you won’t want to miss!
