Writing Unlikely Couples

Hi. I’m so happy to be here today. I’m Tara Lain and I write the Beautiful Boys of Romance.  I’m celebrating the release of one of my favorite books – Fool of Main Beach. It features a very unlikely couple. Ask anyone who’s read a bunch of my books and they’ll tell you that I like the unlikely. I enjoy hooking up guys who surprise everyone including themselves when they fall in love. Here are a few of my favorites –

Fire Balls – Early in my writing career, I created the amazing “fire ball” of a painter, Rodney Mansfield, who is 5’6” tall, has pink hair and a wildly flamboyant personality who falls in love with the quiet, conservative, studious firefighter, Hunter Fallon.

Snow Balls – This popular story that re-releases in December is based on the principal of opposites. JJ, who looks big and athletic and alpha but is actually what he calls a “sissy queen” falls in love with Ryan, a tough, alpha male of a cop. The story revolves around JJ trying to convince Ryan that he is what he appears.

Driven Snow – Super nerdy chess champion Snowden Reynaldi harbors a secret passion for the captain of the football team, Riley Prince.

And now in Fool of Main Beach, I’ll reintroduce you to TV actor Merle Justice who comes from an intellectual family but falls for the most unique, amazing, gentle, innocent and sexy guy he can even imagine. It’s hard to describe Tom Henry, in his pink puffer coat with his dogs. You’ll just have to meet him to appreciate him. I hope you love Fool of Main Beach.

About the Book
