We’re so pleased to have author Yolande Kleinn with us today on the tour for her latest release, Covet. She’s sharing a sexy snippet from the book, and there’s also a giveaway, so be sure to check out those details below.
Welcome, Yolande!
The Excerpt
From Yolande: The best thing about the start of a relationship—even one as casual as the understanding between Jack and Colin—is the endless realm of possibilities. Obviously the characters can only take one path forward, but that doesn’t mean we have to ignore the rest. Read on for a glimpse into Jack Mason’s fantasies, as he considers the different ways his first time with Colin Sloan might go.
Be warned, there is explicit sexual content ahead.
JACK’S FANTASY
Maybe they wouldn’t even get naked.
For all that Jack hadn’t made an overt move yet—for all that he was still skirting the line of flirtation and friendship, trying to decide if there was the potential for anything physical—there were moments. Fleeting glimpses where he caught a certain look in Colin’s eye, a quick spark of heat. Incendiary. There and then gone so fast it left Jack reeling.
He was a patient man. He liked Colin—had every intention of being his friend whether they wound up in bed or not—but he also wanted more. And he wondered in those moments, those split seconds of extra warmth, just how badly Colin wanted the same.
Jack could see it, when he closed his eyes during the quiet of night, alone in his bed. How things might go if they continued on this path. It wouldn’t be something either of them planned for. But the things they both wanted, those would build between them. Gradual and greedy, but inevitably mounting to a fever pitch.
They wouldn’t hold out forever. The need would overtake them eventually, overcome them both at the same damn time. Right here in Jack’s apartment. Returning from a night out, pretending as always to keep things casual, and Colin would swear he was only staying for a moment. Just needed to collect something he’d left in Jack’s apartment. A coat, a sweatshirt, the wallet he forgot on the kitchen counter. It didn’t matter what, just that it got them back in the door, and never mind that this was supposed to be quick.
The door would close, and Colin would simply… stop. Never mind what he’d come inside to collect. He would stand perfectly still, and so would Jack. Staring at each other long and hard, tension winding tighter between them with every passing moment.
No telling which of them would move first. One second both of them totally motionless, the next surging forward, reaching for each other without thought. Jack’s legs were longer, and they would carry him across the room fast, let him close in and crowd into Colin’s space.
So simple then, to shove Colin against the wall and kiss him. Colin’s arms would circle his waist and hold on, fingers clutched in the back of Jack’s shirt, lips parting as the kiss deepened into something frenzied and filthy. So much promise in just a kiss.
Jack would already be hard. And with their bodies crushed close and intimate—with no space at all between them—he would figure out damn quickly that Colin was just as turned on.
And fuck, the absolute inferno that realization would ignite. The arousal was already so potent, and it would wind even tighter in his chest, twist eagerly behind his ribs, speed his pulse in a cacophonous rhythm.
Never mind his usual patience. He couldn’t even bear to let go of Colin long enough to start dragging their clothes off. Not now. Not with Colin so eager in his arms, Colin’s mouth soft and encouraging, cock nudging hard against his hip.
Jack would slide a leg between parted thighs, aligning their bodies just so. He’d let one hand drop to Colin’s hip and urge him forward, an invitation to rub against him. And fuck, Colin would. No hesitation, no self-consciousness, just an immediate thrust. Jack would rut forward too, rolling his hips to seek his own friction. Riding the wave of sensation as it swelled beneath his skin.
Their kiss would break then, neither of them coordinated enough to maintain it as pleasure mounted. They would cling to each other even more tightly, their panting breaths shattering the quiet of the apartment as they moved together, Colin riding down against his thigh, Jack thrusting forward to meet him, both of them falling steadily apart.
It wouldn’t last long. Not with both of them so desperate, so hurried and hungry.
They would both come hard. Simultaneously. Clinging to each other with bruising strength, muffled groans mingling in the overheated air, sudden stillness closing around them as orgasm overtook them.
When they settled, still holding tightly to each other, a moment of wordless understanding would pass between them. Jack would see his own satisfaction reflected in Colin’s impossibly expressive eyes.
Then, after another moment, they would laugh. Colin first, Jack following. Sheepish and giddy and exhausted, quiet but also wildly genuine at the ridiculousness of what they’d just done. The sticky awareness that they had both just come in their pants, too riled to take things somewhere more appropriate, too impatient to do anything but rub off against each other like teenagers.
The laughter would feel good. Honest and warm. And even once it tapered off to nothing, they would both be smiling.
About the Book
Jack Mason—graphic designer and unrepentant player—has never been interested in monogamy. He certainly isn’t looking for romance when he meets Professor Colin Sloan.
Newly single and not looking for anything serious, Colin is intrigued by Jack’s offer of a physical affair with no strings attached. Becoming friends wasn’t part of the plan, but as accidents go, this one’s pretty great.
Peter Mason is Jack’s identical twin. In a long-term relationship himself, Peter tells no one that he’s falling for his brother’s newest favorite, even as the secret creates tension with his girlfriend.
When Peter’s relationship falls apart, he seduces Colin, fully expecting Jack to forgive his transgression. But Jack is keeping secrets too—he hasn’t told even Colin that he’s fallen in love. Suddenly the twins are feuding, and Colin is caught in the middle, blindsided by the revelation that he doesn’t want to choose between them.
Now all three must find a way to share, or they’ll tear each other apart.

About the Author
Yolande Kleinn may be a shameless dreamer and a stubborn optimist, but she is also a proud purveyor of erotic romance. Excitable, fastidious, and a little eclectic, she spends every spare moment as far away from reality as possible.
A Minnesotan by both heart and geography, Yolande has plenty of experience weathering tough winters. Her favorite method: distracting herself with warm beverages and even warmer stories. A night spent with a good book is heaven. A morning free to write, with a hot cup of coffee close at hand, is even better.
