Blurb: Detective Andreas Ruffner is no fool—he’s found a man who loves him, puts up with him, and has stuck with him through hell and back, and it’s time to put a ring on it. Darren Corliss is the love of his life, and he wants the whole world to know it.
Now the fun part—the wedding!
Well, after the not-so-fun part of planning the wedding in between dealing with overbearing and impossible-to-please family members. With future mothers-in-law driving them both up a wall, the guest list growing out of control, and the wedding getting ever more complicated, Darren and Andreas have to wonder if they’re in over their heads.
But they’re going to make it to the altar if it kills them . . . and at this rate, it just might.
Review: After much thought about all the danger, tragedy, near death moments, and good times too, Andreas Ruffner, has decided to take a big step with Darren Corliss, and makes a clumsy but sweet proposal to Darren.
The minute Darren’s mother, Jessica, finds out, Andreas and Darren find themselves with a wedding planner making arrangements, with all the bells and whistles. But the stress and strain hasn’t even reached its peak, and they still can’t find time to have a moment to themselves. Just when they think they can juggle all the balls, here comes Andreas’s parents, Louise and Joe Ruffner.
Joe is not a bad guy; he’s friendly enough, but spineless. Louise is straight from the depths of hell. She’s snobby, rude, inconsiderate and just plain nasty. Everyone has been walking on egg shells around this woman. Then, at a small family gathering hosted by Darren’s parents, the shit hits the fan and Darren explodes. And Darren and Andreas come to the realization that they can’t please everyone. They come up with a plan that’s just right for them, and some special family members too.
I couldn’t see Romantic Behavior ending in a big, extravagant wedding affair, because that really isn’t Andreas and Darren’s style. Because Andreas doesn’t consider himself romantic, he struggles with his wedding vows. He also gives some serious thought to what makes Darren special. This is definitely a great HEA, with drama, fun and some well-meaning family moments.
I’m so glad that L.A. Witt and Cari Z. brought a lot of excitement and danger to the story, as well as the ups and downs of family and love. I highly recommend the Bad Behavior series. It is excellent and I’m sad to see it end.
